Halfords Autocentre Bicester

After a shocking visit which resulted in us missing a holiday because they broke the wheel hub on our transit camper whilst replacing the wheel bearing,the same vehicle has just failed an MOT on the bearing they apparently replaced 6 months ago. Tell me how you can wear out a wheel bearing in 6 months and 3500 miles of motoring. Avoid at all costs.

Super helpful and friendly staff (absolutely everyone was faultless). Finding somewhere that could both MOT and fix any potential issues on my 3.5 tonne horsebox wasn’t particularly easy but Halfords Autocentre could do both so booked with them. It failed :( they got it booked in for the repair and fixed within the 10 day window despite being really busy, and fixed the minor fault at no extra charge, re-MOT’d it and it passed. Thanks SO MUCH guys for getting my lorry back on the road!

MOT cancelled the day before the booking as 'the hydraulic line is leaking on the MOT ramp'. This isn't the first cancellation I have had from this place but at least the reasons are getting more creative. On the bright side, they can rebook me in several weeks! Declined this generous offer in favour of giving Kwikfit a shot.

Good service before but due to technology failure had to cancel my MOT. They didnt call however so i drove all the way there. I still have not recieved my refund either.

Avoid. 'Bookings' count for nothing, no communication, & kept my vehicle overnight for a basic check.1) Left waiting in a coffee shop all day for my vehicle to be ready without any updates or communication.2) Booked a 'brake check' at a specific time hoping to get a quick quote (No actual work even being done). Dropped off first thing Monday morning... kept overnight & no quote until Tuesday (!), quote too high so took elsewhere. Accomplished nothing except wasting my time.3) Booked for a 'battery health check' at a specific time. On arrival told the so-called 'booking' was just a drop off time & since all mechanics busy would have to wait hours ! Gave up and left.

Appalling service! I booked and pre-paid for an appointment to fix a puncture on bank holiday Monday. I arrived promptly at the allotted time only to be told there was an issue with the online booking system and there was no availability but they said to leave the car and they would try to do it if possible. I called later to be told they hadn’t looked at it but would do so the next morning, first thing. The next morning I called again as I hadn’t heard and was told they couldn’t fix the puncture, and they quoted me £186 for a new tyre (the tyre in question was less than a month old and had cost me £68) so needless to say I declined and collected the car. It would have taken them 5 minutes to look at the tyre and tell me it couldn’t be fixed and so all in all a total waste of time and I won’t be using them again!To add… I took the car back to the garage where I bought the tyres today and they were able to repair the puncture, which Halfords claimed was not possible. They also charged me less at £21.60 (Halfords charge £25).Halfords are either dishonest or incompetent but either away, they deliver a terrible service.

Terrible service, I ask them for two new tires in front of the vehicle, they put them in the back, they could have changed them, they answer that they do not rotate, the car's computer tells me that the tires are out of air, they tell me that I have to reset it, I had to go to the service station and pay to put in air, on top of that I just realized that my AirPods Pro have been stolen. I never go back

Booked a MOT at this branch and the week before called to ask them to do an interim service at the same time. The person I spoke to said no problem and just drop the car in for the whole day if we can. We arrived on the day to be told that’s it’s only an MOT booked and to come back at 2pm. When we explained the conversation we had the site manager questioning (in a really flippant manner) if I’d dialled the right number, that they couldn’t do it all today and then continued to blame customer services when I confirmed that I did call the site.We provided proof (as he didn’t believe us!) that we did infact call that office and that we spoke to someone on site. He told us to complain to customer services. Because of the attitude and behaviour, we decided that we didn’t trust our MOT would be done in a manner we could trust so cancelled going back at 2pm and going back to our usual Kwik Fit garage.

I wish I had read these reviews before booking! The worst and most stressful experience I’ve ever had with a service. I booked because it was cheap but they rang me 2 hours before telling me my appointment was cancelled ‘due to short staff’, what a load of rubbish. Horrible customer service. I’m now going to Mercedes and will pay the whole £600 because Atleast I know it will actually get done! Honestly do not book here, you only have to read the reviews and it’s very clear to see that this branch should be closed down, letting people down constantly.

Excellent service at short notice. My headlamp bulbs were incorrectly fitted (one upside down!) by Halfords Autocentre Banbury, who also told me they were fine and couldn't do anything else for me.These guys know what they're doing in Bicester. My car is now safe to drive at night again. Thank you!
