Kanpai London Sake Brewery & Taproom

Simply brilliant place in Peckham. Fab staff, superb sake, great vibes. Decor and music is always on point, nice outside area and just overall wonderful experience. Hoping the move to London Bridge goes well and gives us an even better Kanpai!

As a sake newbie I had no idea what to expect, but the place is brand new and looks so cool it makes you want to go in whether you know what you’re doing or not! Thankfully the bar staff were super knowledgeable and welcoming and clearly passionate about their sake that is all being made onsite. Safe to say I’m a convert and will definitely be going back. Didn’t get a chance to eat but food looked amazing too. Makes a nice change from beer and a great way to start or end a tour of the Mile. London Brewed Sake - who knew??

The owner is awesome and passionate - we learned so much in such a short time. Good selection of well paired food items. They also have a variety of cocktails and other spirits if you have any friends who aren't fully on the sake-train yet. Speaking of trains, this being in the arches honestly adds to the atmosphere. I wish this business all the best success, they deserve good things!

Such a great experience! The staff were so lovely. Was on vacation, over from Canada, and this was one of the places I wanted to check out while in London. Due to tube closures and other circumstances at the time I literally showed up right as they were about to close, and I would be off to Scotland the next day. They were so gracious to keep the taps open so that I could have a flight of sake, and oh my goodness! It was so good, so smooth and flavourful. It was a great experience and they took the time to explain the intricacies of each of the sake and talk about their distilling process. The atmosphere was so inviting, and I really appreciated the attention to artistry. I cannot wait to come back to London and check out their new location closer to central London in the future! ❤️

What a great place near London Bridge.We stumbled upon this cute little place on our way through the beer mile. It’s a really cool brand and all the staff were incredibly passionate.Luis was exceptional, he gave us a full science lesson on sake and the various flavours that comes with the making of it.We didn’t have any food, but it smelled delicious.A very cool spot, highly recommend a visit. Cool for a date spot but also has a casual feel and not to mention the sake is delish!

Great brewery! Didn’t have any experience with Sake before the visit - we were pleasantly surprised. While I’ll still say I’m a beer guy, the Sake experience was super fun, the staff made some excellent recommendations and the ambience is super fun. Would definitely recommend!

Tried out this new place - lots of options and loved the sakes recommended by the friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Really impressed by the food from their kitchen - pork sandwich was amazing. Will be back!

Celebrated our friend's birthday here, and it was an excellent evening. The team here were super - very friendly, passionate about sake, and great service. They let us have a tasting of 5 sakes and it was a really great experience. Their sakes were delicious and had a wide range of styles and flavour notes to choose from. Excellent wings too! Will be back!

It's the first UK sake brewery and the place is amazing. It's cosy, welcoming and trendy. The sake is excellent, the food is very tasty (izakaya style), the staff is super attentive and you have a chance to chat with the brewers as well as have a peek into how this mysterious Japanese drink is actually made! Highly recommended!
