Marcus kindly let me in to buy some tong, bought a stick and happily grazed it, nice flavour and dryness very reasonable too, also got some mazoe cream soda,, well you can't make a green mamba without it

A lovely man called Marcus introduced me to amazing South African cuisine. If your dinners are becoming boring and they need something to get you excited about food again, visit this place and stock up on lots of exciting meats, sauces, and seasonings. Marcus also took the time to tell me how to prepare the whole meal for a full-on SA experience. I'll be making Durban curry over the weekend!They also sell the usual UK meat cuts, and from lorne to steaks, they all look lovely. No skimping with the knife here. I'm now hooked on Biltong - it's so tasty! I'm definitely coming back.

I first went to Brash's quite a few years ago to with the sole intention of getting biltong. I ended up getting a load more stuff. Back again today as I am back here visiting from Oxford and really fancied some biltong. So in we went. Greeting us was an as usual clean interior with some great pos items. There is a new owner from when I was last there and Marcus was very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. His biltong and South African goods were many and varied. They are reasonably priced and access is easy. I will definitely be back.

Biltong, Fizzers, Guava roll, Jelly Tots and a roll of boerewors that looks like a puff adder - some of tastes of South Africa right here in Edinburgh. Afrikaans spoken, super friendly shop, a must visit for locals and African ex-pats!

So glad we've found this butcher, the beef droewors, beef biltong and the boerewors are all excellent and having lived both in South Africa and Botswana for several years we know what we're talking about. Also very pleased to find Nestlé peppermint crisp as my wife makes a great peppermint fridge tart with them.Baie dankie Meneer
