Unite Students - White Rose View

Rooms are small, but decent as student accmodation goes. The 2 stars is for, on the busiest day of the year, change of residence, when virtually every student is moving out at once, there was only 1 lift working for around 170+ students on 17 floors!. One trip to get bags etc was taking 30 minutes and when you have to make several journeys and there is no waiting or loading outside, it was a nightmare

Lovely accommodation and rooms and facilities. However the way that security is handled is shocking - we have a threatening and aggressive flatmate that they refuse to remove or offer us any form of security against, despite us having to contact the police three times about him.Staff are nice but not proactive with dealing with matters of security.

It's a good overall place to live as it is very central to pretty much everything which is nice, but there are a few issues.1) the rooms are ridiculously tiny. I expected them to be small anyway with it being accommodation but I wasn't expecting it to be as small as they are. When packing and unpacking it can be very difficult to move around your own room.2) Maintenance was an issue. It could take a week to be fixed sometimes more depending on the issue. My bedroom door lock had to be fixed multiple times during my stay because it was built wrong.3) the gym. Was told everything would be working by the time I moved in. It wasn't. There was always something broken in the gym throughout my entire stay which stopped me from staying fit and healthy.4) workers will often walk into the flat unannounced for various reasons. Which is incredibly rude. We are the ones living there, you are the guests when you walk in.5) the construction next door. It was constant everyday making it difficult. Recieved many emails about this which isn't ideal.6) reception was closed for 50%-75% of my stay for a variety of reasons. This needs to be sorted for the people staying there in coming months. This also did cause many issues with being locked out of your room or needing tsometjing from reception.7) security needs to be tightened. There were multiple nights where I'd come back from whatever during the day and there was no security on the door making it easier for random people to walk in making me ultimately feel unsafe.8) it is also not worth the 8k I paid for it.

Good Location for city centre and not too far from the university, staff are friendly.Construction has been taking place next door all year from 7am - 6pm making relaxing/studying difficult due to the constant disturbance. I was not warned about this before applying, if I knew how disturbing it would be I would not have gone here. Prices were increased from the previous year although they did not have to deal with this.Appliances break easily and maintenance is slow to respond.

Ellen is the nicest staff member ever!! She is always so kind and and helpful in every way. She has made my stay here amazing! Couldn’t recommend white rose more.

Lovely amenities but heating does not work!!! it is a massive problem. I have not felt warmth in 2 months!!!!!!!!! And they WILL lose ur deliveries. AND UR FREEZER WILL BREAK. PLEASE SEND HELP

They need to improve reception security. Anyone from outside can just wonder in.However the rooms are good, bit on the tiny side. But the maintenance are atrocious

Do not book this accommodation, trust me go with central village instead.This is for a couple of reasons*The main reason*They are demolishing the building opposite and it is extremely noisy. They start drilling at 7am each day and don't finish until 6 (even at the weekends). It's right in front of the left side of the building so it's incredibly loud in the bedrooms. I believe this is going on for months, and then they're going to start building. So it will be noisy in the 23/4 academic year.1) the rooms here are tiny, much smaller than any other accommodation I’ve been to even though this place is more expensive.2) maintenance takes forever, we have had a broken kitchen appliance for 6 weeks and still no one has replaced it. I have reported my broken bed 3 weeks ago and still no one has come to fix it. The ‘cinema room’ downstairs was also broken for weeks. It seems like everyone I speak to has a similar situation. They either don’t fix anything or fix it after weeks if not months.3) the rooms have a surprising amount of damage my walls are extremely scratched, things are broken there’s even a load of fake tan stains on my chair.4) every time you turn the heating on, it turns off automatically in about 20 minutes. You have to stand back up and go over to the wall and turn it back up. If you’re a cold person like me I would avoid this placeThe only good things about this accommodation is that the views are amazing from high floors, the kitchen is lovely and you’re right in the city centre which is very convenient after a night out.By overall I wouldn’t recommend, book an accommodation run by the university not unite.

Lovely accommodation. The staff are really friendly and always helpful. White rose view is already clean and the rooms are very nice with a big spacious kitchen. It’s really close to the city and you can access shops easily and Morrison is a two minute walk away. Would recommend.
