I was there friday the 18th of august the care is excellent the staff are lovely and for the first time in years i can see properly i was scared at first but you put my mind at ease ,i am now looking forward to having my other eye sorted out, thankyou so much my name wont be there but i was there with my grandaughter and thankyou very much

From the moment I walked into Spamedical in Derby earlier today I could not have asked for better care. It is an amazing place doing an amazing job. I was a bit nervous at the thought of having my cataract done but the staff made me at ease immediately. My appointment was 8.30 I was home at 10am. From the receptionist to the theatre staff they were so professional and friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough I shall look forward to them doing my other eye with confidence in their skills

I was seen and treated at SpaMedica this week, having been referred by my optician. I cannot praise the way this clinic is run highly enough. The entire staff is outstanding and I was completely comfortable from start to finish. I received consultant laser treatment within 24 hours for a condition which had not been detected by my optician. I was later that day followed up by a Derby hospital consultant who was very approving of the treatment I had received. The improvement in the vision in my right eye is amazing. Thank you to all concerned. My confidence in the availability of first class care in the time of COVID has been entirely restored.

I had laser surgery (YAG Capsulotomy) carried out on my left eye at SpaMedica Derby by the Optometrist Rosalie Davies. My distance vision is now brilliant, such I now no longer need to wear glasses for driving. My reading vision has also improved. Many thanks to Rosalie for doing such a great job. For anyone reading this, laser surgery to your eye is painless.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Had both eyes done and got twenty twenty vision. Only problem I have now is remembering where I have left my reading glasses.! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Surgeon who did both my eyes did an excellent job. I can't describe what it is like not to have to wear glasses all the time. I thank them very much.

Husband had cateract surgery here two weeks ago. He was terrified. But on entering the building he was welcomed and treated amazingly by everyone he met, which helped him be at ease. He waited 2 days from referral to the op.Omg he was amazed, he's worn glasses for 68 years, with expensive lenses every time, from the minute he was picked up he could see distance straight away and doesn't need to wear glasses now. He can't wait to get his other eye done.Thank you to everyone at Spamedic, derby and Specsavers, Oakwood, amazing.

Had an eye test at the Derby branch about 8 weeks ago now and because I have congenital cateracts I have had to be referred back to Royal Derby Hospital. I called Spamedica over a month ago to ask them to confirm that this referral has been done and to get them to chase it up. As I was still waiting to hear from Derby Royal Hospital I called them directly today and discovered that no referral has been sent. So here I am with cateracts in both eyes and the one in my right eye really bad and no treatment on the horizon. How long was I supposed to wait? This is pure incompetence and a lack of regard for my eye health. I wouldn't recommend this company.
