This lovely little church built in the 1800 is set in a tranquil location at the end of Maud Heaths causeway which runs over the flood plain area of the river Avon.There are several walks you can do around this place across the adjoining fields or along the banks of the river itself.There stands a monument right by the river bridge in memory of Maud Heath who left money in her will to maintain the causeway enabling people to walk across this pathway when it floods,this often occurs in the winter months or with long periods of heavy downpours,it then becomes impassable to motor vehicles.There is another monument at the top of Bremhill also dedicated to Maude heath who walked this route to sell her eggs in Chippenham market.
