Fantastic site Ant and great relaxation for my wife and I, Brian and Christine before a difficult week for me. What a lovely little site for an overnight stop en route to Scotland! I was made very welcome by the owner who is deservedly proud of this immaculately maintained site. It is very handy for the A66 with a short walk into Bowes. Will definitely stay longer next time!

Such a friendly welcome from Ant when we got here.Think it’s one of the best sites well laid out with hardstanding pitches well mown lush grass. Lots of cute wag tails,sheep cows and views .we took short walk to friendly Bowes social club for a drink. The Pub Ancient Unicorn was closed due to refurbishment. Lovely campground surrounded by beautiful landscape. Very friendly host. Only problem was no toilet and shower facilities!

Really nice little campsite. Anthony is really welcoming and his love for his campsite is obvious . The grass is the best I've ever seen..lol ...looks like a carpet!! Walking distance to a pub , 10 mins in car to Barnard castle and lovely walks from site. Would definitely recommend and we will return. Keep up the hard work

Just returned from 2 nights at The Old Armoury. Fantastic site, beautifully kept. Proximity to main road was not an issue. Will certainly return. Thank you Anthony
