The Potter Trail (Tour)

This experience is a must do for any age fan of the Harry Potter series! Our guide was fantastic, we saw so many sights and learned the small details within Edinburgh that inspired the books. Highly recommend!

We had less than 24 hours in Edinburgh and we’re so glad we spent 90mins of that time doing this tour. It was such a fun way to see and learn about Edinburgh through the magical lense of Harry Potter. My husband and daughter read the books together & we rewatch the movies every year & it was incredible to see so much of what inspired the books & movies first hand- learning so much along the way that we never knew. While Edinburg is quite hilly, the walking part of this tour was mostly flat & easy. It was nice to be out in the fresh air. Sam was our guide, & he was excellent. He took us at a great pace, made us laugh, shared interesting facts, & was so wonderful with all ages. We’re so glad we got to experience this tour & would highly recommend.

Great walking tour with Ryan filled with fun facts about the writing and inspiration for the Harry Potter books and some city information. Ryan is a funny and engaging lover of history and HP. You won’t be disappointed, book your tickets!

Our guide, Sam, had such wonderful knowledge and enthusiasm right down to his wand and wizard robe! He even had interactive quizzes for points among the houses and did a spell to cross the street.Highly, highly recommend!!

An incredible tour. Informative, fun, and very engaging. A must do for Harry Potter fans when they stop by Edinburgh. Although it’s a Harry Potter tour, the tour brings you to some of the key places in town so you’re kinda killing two birds with one stone. If I ever find myself in Edinburgh again, I will definitely book a tour again - just for fun!

Perfect tour for all type of Edinburgh visitors, even though you are not a fan of Harry Potter, you can just join to learn interesting facts about Scotland and pop culture of Harry Potter. Definitely recommended

We had loads of fun doing the Potter Trail with Charlie. We learned so much trivia about JK Rowling and her creative journey while writing the books. He was very animated and funny, but at the same time very respectful and inclusive. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this Harry Potter tour! Our tour guide Sam was full of enthusiasm and knowledge about the Wizarding World and he was wonderful at conveying it to our audience. Lovely way to explore the city and nerd out about HP!
