We've just finished renting with West in Wantage, and I really wanted to add a review to say how great they have been as a company to deal with.I have NEVER said that about any letting agency before - normally they're a load of crooks, and as a renter you feel that they are very strongly biased towards the landlord. At West you felt like they were looking after the interests of both parties, which, when you are spending over £15K per year through them, seems only fair.Happier tennants are better tenants, so this approach works as well for landlords as for renters. Everyone's a winner.The whole team at West is really friendly, and when we experienced a number of problems with the house, Chris, the agent for the house, went above and beyond in trying to get things sorted. On more than one occasion I know he was sorting stuff out for us well out of his working hours.I'd rent from them again in a heartbeat. And if I were a landlord I'd definitely use them as well, knowing my property was in good hands.Raving about a letting agent? I must have gone out of my mind, LOL

We had sold our family home with West Consultancy back in 2017 and it was such a good experience, when it came to selling my mother’s home it was an easy decision. Again they handled the sale faultlessly and sold it in days, it’s not like the other big estate agents. It’s a far more personal service with a small team of dedicated professionals handling your sale. Great service and always with a smile! We have rented a property through West for almost 18 years and the service has been impeccable throughout. There have been few changes of personnel and these have had no effect on the quality of service. West has responded promptly to reported problems including, on one occasion, fitting a new oven when the old one failed a few days before Christmas, and fitting a new header tank in the airing cupboard at a couple of hours notice when the old one started leaking dramatically.We have always felt valued as tenants and. given the length of our tenancy, imagine that our landlord felt valued too.We unreservedly recommend them.

I am the landlord of a property in Faringdon which I manage myself but use West's for tenant finding.My Tenant's decided to move out one year into a two year tenancy agreement wanting to leave not paying for the full termination costs and leaving the house in a run down mess after being newly decorated a year ago.Chris proved to be a great help negotiating with the tenant on my behalf advising and guiding me through the whole process even though it wasn't his job.Great support from a very helpful man who was professional and very helpful during a very difficult time. I've rented from West as private tenants in Oxford for just over 2 years. This is by far one of the best letting agents I have used. They are honest, transparent, highly professional, and overall pleasant to work with. All maintenance issues have been addressed really quickly and to a great standard. They have also provided an excellent channel of communication between us and the landlords, which is something that is really important for both sides of every tenancy agreement.If an opportunity arises in the future, I would not hesitate to go to West either as a tenant or owner. Have been with WEST for a year now and am really happy.Contract preparation:The documentation provided was clear and it was easy navigate through the renting process. In preparation of the contract, all interactions happened via email and the agent was flexible with some of the requests from our side.Communication:The faults report web system is very good, makes it easy to track submitted reports and follow up as you have the knowledge collected in a single place. Everything overall is digital and handy; the monthly rent payment receipts are digital, contract signing is digital as well.Agent:The agent is very helpful and available for a chat whenever I have any concerns or just wanted to discuss anything; very professional and organized, but also just a friendly person to speak to. The agent listens to our needs and is able to work around certain times for having contractors working in the house when it is convenient for the residents. My agent responds quickly nearly all the time and the critical issues are addressed promptly.Overall experience:Would definitely recommend. Other people from WEST (in addition to my agent) I've talked to over the phone and via email were reasonable and friendly so I believe you would enjoy having them as your agents.

We have used West to manage our two properties since we purchased the first one over 6 years ago and they have always been excellent. Gareth in the Oxford office has supported us through some of the hurdles of being Landlords and always given us first class advice which we appreciate. Chris and the Wantage team who we liaise with on a regular basis are efficient, professional and extremely accommodating. We have been approached by another Management Company in the past but would not go anywhere else as we genuinely believe we could not get a better service.
