Such a great place for plants, delicious fresh food and possibly the best pies I’ve ever had! Regularly come here and would highly recommend.

If you like traditional home cooked food, you probably can’t go far wrong than here. Keenly priced, nice portion sizes and good service. Be warned though… make sure you leave space for desert - they’re amazing! I can recommend the apple and apricot crumble!

For a midweek lunch, this venue is good. Not expensive, but still good portions. So popular you need to book. Been several times, will certainly give again.

We went early on Friday afternoon. The place was packed with diners and others enjoying a Christmas lunch. We were given the last table, others weren't so lucky.Teas and coffees were served quickly and we all ordered a small roast. The food was hot, tasty and good old English cooking. There was plenty even though it was a small portion. They have an extensive and varied menu for snacks, main meals and desserts. The service was quick and efficient and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to make a return visit.

Staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful. Toilets were clean and well equipped. The cafe itself was a little untidy, large pile of boxes near the doorway. The cafe is not dog friendly, but there is an outdoor seating area where you can sit with a dog, including a large table under a marquee. There is also a children's play area. There is disabled parking and disabled access to both the cafe and outdoor seating. The prices are a little expensive but the food was mainly lovely. Ice cream is amazing, but the cones were a little soft, maybe need to be kept in an air tight container. We sat outside as we had a dog with us and the table had not been cleaned. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.

All it missed was Julie Walters coming up to take my order. Seriously, it's a quaint old fashioned cafe serving lovely food. Lots of options and lovely attentive staff. Together with the garden centre and good/gift shop it's an ideal place for us oldies to go to. Recommended.
