I got to know Raman's work this year and was delighted with his work. The sensitivity in portraying social questions is impressive, it goes far from commercial films and documentaries that only show the side that can be shown and not what needs to be shown, the naked reality. Through his work he wants to encourage people to see the world and the human being in another way, the way we really should see ourselves. He wants us to develop the ability to put in the other's shoes. A look inside ourselves through the lens of the injustices of the world so that we can know how to help people and improve ourselves.
