Started flyjng at BWND in August 2020 with a trial flight. Went solo in May 2021 and working on my Bronze. Outstanding instructors, very friendly - great flying, social and learning experience - highly recommend it!

First time gliding today. Everyone made me welcome. All the information was easy to understand. Pre flight briefing was spot on My pilot instructor was Julian. Thank you so much for your time and guidance loved every minute of it and will definitely be back soon for more. Highly recommended Bath, Wilts and North Dorset Gliding club without reservation. An outstanding Club I honestly cannot recommend highly enough. As a complete novice arriving flustered and slightly late having taken a wrong turning we were immediately welcomed and made to feel at home. My Instructor was friendly, patient, relaxed and clearly an experienced and proficient pilot. Throughout our flight he was entirely focused on sharing his love of gliding and helping me to get the best from the experience. It was enthralling and if you are contemplating trying gliding, do it, and you couldn't find a better club than this one!

Having received a glider flight as a birthday present, my son was so delighted with the first flight he took advantage of the inclusive 30 day membership offer for two more. Unbelievable value!And what a pleasure to find such a group of welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable amateurs operating a club at the highest possible professional standards. A really fine day out and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
