Since 2013 I have been living unlawfully in UK.. Nahid Ahmed was instructed through her Chamber’s association with a charity, Dad’s Unlimited, to represent me at a 2-day fact-finding hearing for a family law matter. Nahid was not only late to the hearing but was unprepared and admitted she had only looked at the file on the way down to court. I had to point her to the evidence in the bundle which she had no idea was there literally minutes before going before a circuit court judge. The hearing was a disaster and was a detriment to my case which delayed me meeting my daughter for the first time for almost 2 more years. After more senior barristers reviewed the judgement and Nahid’s arguments before the court, they were mortified by her service and unpreparedness given the level of evidence she had in her arsenal. To add to this, 10KBW misplaced a very sensitive police interview CD that was supposed to be used by Nahid at the fact-finding hearing to support my position. Not only was this CD lost by 10KBW, it was not even used at the hearing. I received a pathetic apology from 10KBW (which they retracted later after I started civil proceedings) and they said the person who handled my data has now left the Chambers, I can only assume this person was fired. I reported the data loss to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and they made a finding against 10KBW ordering the implementation of better data protection procedures. It was also confirmed by 10KBW’s insurers that at the time the CD was lost, they did not have Professional Indemnity coverage which caused a delay in pursuing civil action against them. My personal experience with these Chambers has been dreadful and I would warn against using them, particularly if you would like your data to be in safe hands! Pay the money and get a decent barrister who does not have a reduced fee arrangement with a charity. Stay away!!

I used 10 King's Bench Walk for my immigration appeal. An amazing experience from start to finish. The Head Clerk Anthony was friendly, and so quick to respond to emails and keep me up to date. And of course Ahmad, my barrister, and all around legend. He was on on the ball the whole time, and was very gracious with his time and letting me know exactly what was going on. When it came to appearing in court on video, there were so many times that I wanted to say 'mic drop', because he knows his stuff and is very good on his feet and adapting to the situation, and just made such good points, and is very persuasive.
