Today was my first time going to Lydia for my hair doing and WOW, honestly it was the best hairdressing experience I’ve had in such a long time!! She is warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable, she explained the process step by step and I felt like she truly cared about my hair. Everything she did was in the best interest of maintaining healthy hair whilst achieving my desired colour and style. The finished look was everything I had hoped for and more!Her salon has super cool decor and a really chilled vibe to it, not to mention her adorable dog was there for added cuteness!

Lydia has been doing my hair for years now and I’d never trust anyone else! She never fails to get it spot on and is very knowledgable about what will suit my hair type, natural colour and skin tone the best. The new salon is like a home from home, so welcoming!I always look forward to my next appointment ☺️

Lydia has been cutting my hair for a good number of years now!! Honestly, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair, she loves a quirky cut and a challenge! Super down to earth & can guarantee a good laugh or heart to heart if required when in the salon, not to mention how cool the shop looks. Would 1000% recommend to anyone, especially if like me you dare to be different.

This is hands down the best hairdressing experience I've ever had. Can't thank Lydia enough for restyling my hair. I LOVE it! It's taken me years to find a hairdresser who just... gets it. It took just a few words from me for Lydia to know exactly what I was after. Not only that, but she is so knowledgeable and honest about what's going to look good, and takes the time to assess the type/quality/condition of your hair beforehand. I often feel really nervous and intimidated going into salons, but there is such a warm and friendly atmosphere at Hair Institution that I'm confident it could make even the most anxious of clients feel at ease. I had my first hair cut with Lydia 10 years ago and I have never been to any other hairdresser since. She is amazing and I often get stopped by strangers complimenting me on my hair, even when I went to New York! Lydia is creative, professional, and is honest when it comes to styling - advising me what will suit my face shape and the ease of doing the style myself at home. She’s funky, knows what I like and don’t like and is just a beaut person inside and out.I couldn’t ever go anywhere else!

Lydia did an amazing job with my hair and love my new cut! She really understood what I wanted and talked me through what she was going to do.The salon has a great vibe and Lydia is really friendly and welcoming. Thank you Lydia! 100% recommend.

Absolutely cannot recommend this salon enough! Lydia is incredible and so knowledgeable in her trade. She’s constantly learning and trying out new products which have made a huge difference to my sad, dry and damaged hair. She recently tried some new Blonde Solutions bleach and K18 treatment on my hair and it’s genuinely never felt so soft and healthy. I’m going to ask for it every time now, 100% worth the extra money!

Lydia is an incredible stylist who makes you feel at home right away whether a newbie or regular! The salon is a super relaxing and welcoming environment and feels really vibrant and fun. Lydia captures exactly what you want and talks through the whole process as well as just being incredibly nice, warm and friendly. The whole experience was a 10/10 and I left with exactly the hair that I wanted and knowledge on upkeep and maintenance. Lydia’s pricing system is also incredibly inclusive and reasonable and I couldn’t recommend Lydia and the salon enough!
