I had convinced myself that the reason my machine didn’t work was because I was doing something wrong as initially it was intermittent and I came to dread using it. Eventually it just wouldn’t grip the thread at all and I was just getting bird’s nests. Turns out there was a problem with the tension unit which Richard has replaced and now it works like a dream. I put up with it not working for far too long. Should have gone to him sooner.
