My friends and I had a gorgeous meal on Saturday afternoon. Our annual autumnal meal was made so special in the lovely pods. The roast dinner was great, as was our waiter, Harry. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed including more blankets, an extra heater, he changed the lights on our pod and took a photo for us too.I highly recommend for a lovely experience of dining outside in a beautiful setting

Lovely Christmas menu, well priced, in brilliant pods! The staff were great, friendly and attentive. The pod was warm enough on a cold day and the Alexa kept us entertained with carols. Brilliant place for a birthday party.

Very impressive building from the outside, but the inside does not replicate this. If offered room 205, request a different room immediately. One part of the room was a live building site. One window had no shutter or curtain to stop the morning light. Windows are single pane so noisy and drafty. The shower / toilet is so small the door only half opens before it hits the sink! And the dining table looked like it was from a butcher's shop. Mishmash of cutlery, plates, glasses, etc. No washing up sponge supplied plus no tray to bake goods on in the oven. After one night we complained and got a marginally better room, but still not worth the £150 per night price tag - probably worth half that at a push. Saving grace and winner of the second star are the staff and the food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and tasty. This could be such a nice hotel, but is a long way short of the mark. I saw another review that said visit the hotel but book into a Premier Inn - I'd agree with that!

I stopped for a coffee and a cake with some friends on a Sunday morning at The Mansion At Coldeast. It was quite an surprise when you first arrive, as this spectacular building just seems to appear out of nowhere. We sat in one of the tasteful lounges and had coffee and some seriously amazing cakes. The bar staff who brought out drinks and cake were all very friendly. Overall, we had a lovely couple of hours and I would certainly return in the summer to enjoy a drink or two on their terrace!

Hired a pod for a friend's special birthday celebrations. Stunning ambience in the dark. Food and drinks were amazing. Pod was cold we mentioned it to staff as we were sat in our coats. Asked for blankets, none available. Only heat source seemed to be a patio heater on the ceiling. Didn't ruin our experience but it could have been better. I have since raised this with the management as I want other people not to be impacted and enjoy their experience.

My wife and I got married here in October and was an absolute dream come true. The venue itself was breath-taking, providing a stunning backdrop for our celebration. Our guests were so complimentary of the venue and team that delivered an amazing service. We had 67 to the day and 120 to the evening - worried the venue would be too small, it was so perfect and worked fine.Kathryn, the wedding coordinator/manager, was exceptional throughout our entire journey, from the moment we booked until the unforgettable day itself. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and dedication made every step of the process—from the initial planning to the seamless execution—absolutely excellent.Kathryn's attention to detail ensured that everything ran flawlessly on our wedding day. Her expertise and warmth made us feel incredibly supported, allowing us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the magic of the day.We wholeheartedly recommend The Mansion at Coldeast to any couple seeking a fairy-tale setting for their wedding. Thank you to Kathryn and the entire team for creating such a beautiful and memorable experience that we will cherish forever. We will definitely be revisiting in the future for some food and overnight stay.

I went here for our annual work Christmas Party. After numerous years attending the Ageas bowl, it was a pleasant change to what we were used to. We had booked a private room for around 40 people and it did not disappointA private bar was on offer with our own staff for the night. The three course meal was exceptional. My only qualm is there could have been more gravy for the for my main. But the portion size was huge, with plenty of roast vegetables and the roast potatoes were cooked exceptionally well. There was a good selection of drinks on offer and the wine was fabulous. The staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them.If you want a Xmas party then look no further than this venue. I was extremely impressed.

Well this has to be the find of the year. What a great place. Beautiful building, lovely food. Friendly attentive staff. My only complaint was drinks are rather expensive, but if you can put up with this I would definitely recommend. Will be returning.

An exquisite venue. The Mansion has been renovated and is elegance itself. The wife had a company dinner at a nearby restaurant and we decided to book in for the night. The rate was very affordable for the huge, well-appointed room we stayed in. The room had an en suite, kitchenette and every convenience required including TV, microwave, fridge, kettle, sink, cutlery and crockery. The Mansion offers a number of lounges and restaurants/dining areas decadently decorated. While we never got to use one, they have heated pods in the extensive gardens which looked very inviting. This is the ideal venue for weddings, company functions or parties. The breakfast menu catered for all tastes. We had the poached eggs and smashed avo on toast which was excellent.Well worth the visit to enjoy the historic building, gardens and features this hotel has to offer.
