Excellent place to stay. Sandy and Darren are very helpful and nothing is a problem. Great selection of pork and haggis (Award winning). Peaceful hidden garden in a small town...see you next year..

Just arrived home after 4 nights here in a tent. What can we say, just brilliant. Beautiful quiet site, spotless, friendly, great owners who can never do enough to help (even jump start our car when the battery gave up and offer to keep it on their trickle charger for us). It really is the perfect site if you want peace and quiet. The harbour is close by and there are some lovely walks right out of the site. The only downside.? We had to come back home again, but we will be back as soon as we can. Thank you

Nice little quiet site , however the toilets and shower aren't the best maintained and didn't seem to be cleaned at all during our stay

Recently spent 4 nights at this campsite as a first trip away in our motorhome. Very friendly and helpful. Darren and Rusty were great. Site and facilities were spotless. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

Great place to stay. Very scenic. Short walk into the village with pub, chippy and other shops. The site itself is small but very well kept. Staff are friendly and helpful.Downside .. WiFi isn't great but who cares the area is beautiful so get out and explore....

Quite Beautiful and Welcoming, the grounds with duck pond is full of life, lovely to sit and watch with a glass of wine. If more company is needed The Shy Pig opens between 6.00 and 8.00 everynight curtsey of Rusty. The village pub and beach is just round the corner, Absolutely Fabulous.

This is by far the nicest campsite. Free range eggs chickens or ducks. They work so hard to keep site nice. Love the traffic light system for toilets and shower.. The harbour inn is close by and very good meals. Cycling around area is very good roads quier. Also we hired kayaks from wigtown sailing club. Very good to hire from.

Sept 10th 2023.Booked in for 2 nights only sadly wished it could have been more. Such a lovely and peaceful site. Spotlessly clean. Met by Darren on booking in, explained everything, including the quaint traffic light system for the toilet and shower. When either of the 2 red lights are on the high pole then it shows either the toilet or shower is engaged. Lovely ducks wandering round the site, but not to be fed, as they're pets. Lovely rare breed of pigs, and we treated ourselves to 2 large chops to take away. Short walk to the harbour Inn, which is dog friendly and serves excellently priced food.Sadly we have to mention this site and not keep it a secret to ourselves.Much better than the caravan and motorhome club site down by the harbour which is packed like sardines. We were left alone to enjoy the site, even saw a deer in the woods one morningWe will definitely be back to visit this little place of paradise.
