Top Stitch

The management at Top Stitch is fantastic. I took handbag to other shops for repair but was told they cannot fix it. I went to Top Stitch and I was told that it can be repaired.

The dry cleaning service is very good. However I had a strange experience where I walked into the store and the owner/staff member was talking on the phone. It's fair enough to be talking on the phone when no customers are in but it's polite to greet a customer when they enter, even if just to say that you are busy and will be with the customer in a moment. It made me feel unwelcome in the store. Every customer interaction matters and don't assume that because someone looks young or they are black (or whatever) that they don't deserve polite customer service. It definitely made me feel unwelcome and I found the interaction disappointing and rude.

Absolutely delighted with the repair on my Chloe bag. The broken strap was fixed with no fuss, made more secure than it started and no sign of any damage either. Only wish I'd discovered this company earlier.

The reviews to this business is so accurate around quick, reliable, and great work.The lady who served me did an amazing job, literally the time was so quick to get my trousers altered before a wedding. She took them in on Tuesday and completed today Saturday.She was also working alone due to staff issues for the week. ( I overheard a death in the family) my condolences to their family.Not only did she fulfil her promise to get this complete on time, she also stayed open later, so I could collect it in time.With little to no staff, and all the other customers she had to face alone.I can not imagine the workload she had to do alone and still complete on time.Very kind, fast, and reliable.Could not recommend a business so much.To be honest this is my first review on businesses and I feel I owe it to them on a personal level, as she knew how quickly I needed this alteration done.Seriously a thank you, and will be using your service in the future for my wedding.William

Best in the business!Always warm and friendly with every interaction and an alteration wizard. Wedding dress fit to perfection (had bustle added, corset adjusted) and I'll be back in the future for alterations.

Unprofessional & unreliable. The only good thing that these people did was give me my deposit back after having my wedding dress/bridesmaids dresses for 4 MONTHS without touching them. I was told to “cool down” when I asked in August (after taking my garments in May) why they hadn’t been touched - they had by this point even forgotten where they had put them. I eventually pulled my dresses out of here in September after endlessly waiting & being quoted £690! I have now found somebody competent who is doing all 3 dresses for £175. Please just avoid this place, it’s a joke!!

Bought a suit and trousers and jacket were a bit too long. I brought it to Top Stitch and they also advised to tighten the legs. The result was amazing, you can check in the picture...

Great service & very friendly. I came here a while ago to have a dress altered for a wedding. It was only a little bit tight so they held on to it in case I’d fit in it by the day. And it did, so they gave me my dress back and didn’t charge me for their time. Much appreciated

The tailoring is good but I had a terrible experience here. The manager is really professional but the woman who assists is really rude. Unsolicited comments about my appearance and skin while getting the garments fitted and told how to make my body look less bad! Came to collect on the day I was told things would be ready. After a 30 minute wait where the woman told me I was ‘too early’ even though the shop was open and no timings had been provided, she finally located my items and they hadn’t been started let alone finished. She was so rude, told me to come back later. They finished them a few hours later because I made a fuss but still too late for me to wear them to the event I’d had them fitted for. At £55 for adjustments to a top and dress it’s not cheap and i was disappointed that the customer service was so far off expectation. I was given a £5 refund which doesn’t come close to what it should have been. I definitely wouldn’t return or recommend due to the assistant.
