The VICI Language Academy

Have been at Vici for a while now learning Japanese and have been absolutely loving it! My teacher Keiko is really lovely and she explains everything so well that I'm able to pick up new things much more quickly than I have been in the past, helping me progress much faster. Vici has been really helpful from the start and are incredibly flexible when it comes to booking lessons since I have a pretty hectic schedule so I can't always make each lesson if something comes up last minute. Nathalie has also been very helpful with giving me advice on various ways that I could potentially turn my love of Japanese into a career in the future :) Really can't recommend it enough!

Visited the academy and can't express how impressed I was! The language coaches are so enthusiastic and knowledgeable - and great at tailoring lessons to my way of learning; they've really boosted my confidence. I love the new classrooms too... I have to say I feel at home at Vici. Thank you to Nathalie and The Vici Team, can't wait to come again!

A wonderful experience so far with the VICI Academy! Such a warm welcome from Nathalie who explained in detail how the academy works for you as an individual creating a program that fits in with your lifestyle. I’ve wanted to learn Italian for as long as I can remember but as I’m unable to commit to a weekly class/lesson I assumed this would be almost impossible. I start my one to one lessons this week and cannot wait! Thank you for fulfilling my dream. Now the hard work starts :-).

I absolutely loved my 1 to 1 lessons with Esther at the Vici Language Academy. We met weekly via the interactive platform to learn Spanish. The platform worked really well to talk to each other, be taught by Esther,use the whiteboard to write and watch clips of videos. It was truly a hugely rewarding experience which I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn a language. I would also highly recommend Esther as a wonderful teacher who made learning a lot of fun!

Sadly, my 20-lesson course in German with Aneta at VICI came to an end last week. She is an excellent teacher and her lessons answered my needs brilliantly. In each lesson she taught me a topic in grammar which is what I wanted to learn, and built up my understanding gradually in a focused way. She provided me with materials to consolidate my knowledge and give me practice in using the grammar to read, write and understand sentences more confidently. I now feel I have the foundations to build on Aneta’s lessons and improve my understanding and comprehension further so that I reach a stage where I can read in German which was my original aim. Many, many thanks to Aneta for providing me with such an excellent beginning! And thanks to Nathalie at VICI for making these lessons possible.Now both my daughter and I have benefited from Aneta’s teaching!

A wide range of students of all ages, studying many languages for many reasons are all catered for brilliantly by the hard-working and accommodating linguists at The Vici Language Academy, Newbury. Group lessons, one-to-one lessons and on-line one-to-one lessons with tutors are all possible, to best meet each learner's needs, which may change of course over time. You will have the opportunity to discuss all of this before embarking on what could even be a life-changing language course.Oh yes did I mention that it is also fun and convivial too? Once I started my French course about 9 months ago, my 7 year -old grandson soon wanted to join too. I would not hesitate to recommend Mme Nathalie Danon and her excellent team.

A huge Dankeschön to Aneta and Vici for this past year and a few months. I've had a fantastic time learning German this past year and half, which has given me a fantastic foundation for my new opportunity to work in Germany.Aneta is a brilliant teacher - very patient and encouraging which has helped me learn a brand new language from scratch. It's also been great to hear of the latest Vici news - your communication and passion for what you do is clear to see, and reflects in all aspects of the school. We have two great teachers for our Bien Dire French class. The group itself has become a group of friends now and the excellent teaching is done through a combination of oral and written work, as well as listening exercises and watching short videos.
