Friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, great selection, and free hot/cold drinks upon request. The store is split into this side, which has an infinite variety of old books, and typewronger books, which has new books and contemporary zines.

Nice antiquarian bookshop with wide selection of books on art, travel, literature and other beautiful things. Pleasant interior, not stuffy or chaotic. Found a nice book on Russian art. Agreeable prices and friendly staff. I would certainly return.

The best bookshop I’ve ever visited. The owner helped me with choosing the right book, he was so kind and he really knew what he is talking about and he also made a really pretty stamp in it (he asked if I wanted it, so he won’t put it in your book if you don’t want to) and then he gave me a beautiful little origami. I love that shop! If only I could go there every day just to sit and reed. And also the music in shop was really good a bit random but good.

A lovely, cosy bookshop filled with second hand books and creaky floorboards. Perfect place to peruse on a winter’s day. Staff were very helpful and courier delivery to the UK is free(in case you’re on holiday and can’t lug your new books around!)Typewronger is right next door which features secondhand typewriters and newer books. A must visit in Edinburgh.

First time visiting here and bought two books. Lovely shop and friendly staff. It has great many selection of second hand classic books next door in same shop. I found out about this place from a youtube. Will like to come back again.
