Nicer people with more knowledge of their product you couldn’t find! It’s a refreshing change when it comes to buying knives to be advised on the merits or otherwise of the options you like for a specific purpose. And let’s be honest ‘be arsed’ about sharpening is right, blunt knives are dangerous. I visited Ilkley specifically to go to Community Cutlery & was not disappointed!’

Went for a beginners knife sharpening class, Gaz was great, lovely knowledgeable and a great teacher. I've now got some very sharp kitchen knives and the skills to keep them that way. Thank you!

Great service! Gareth made the whole process incredibly easy & pleasant. Very quick turnaround and couldn't be happier with the work he's done, feels great to be able to use the knives as tools again rather than merely sentimental objects. Highly recommend!

Great experience from start to finish. Gareth and his partner are very friendly and know their stuff. I took two of my prize possession axes to be properly sharpened.They're like razors. They even offer sharpening classes.....booked!This business is a great reason to support local!

Went on a whetstone course with Gaz last week and it was a really good course. He went through all of the theory in a good amount of detail, but the majority of the time was hands on sharpening your own knives. I now feel confident to sharpen my own knives at home. Thanks Gaz!

What a great find! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I recently had 2 knives sharpened and the turnaround was quick. The workmanship is excellent and I'll be bringing in my garden tools and other knives soon.

Booked a place on the knife sharpening course as a fun gift for a mate’s birthday. Had no idea what to expect but was genuinely really good!! Gaz keeps it fun and 2 hours later I’ve come back home with a couple of knives that have never been so sharp!

I was lucky enough to be given a gift from a close relative bought from Community Cutlery. The quality of the knife stands alone. Absolutely brilliant and also came with a voucher for it to be sharpened for free.I didn't know this shop existed, however its now on my must visit list next time I'm back in Ilkley. Can't wait to buy a few more for my collection. Oh and the knife is RAZOR sharp. 10/10 perfect for everyday use.

The most fantastic shop!Excellent range of carefully curated knives and kitchenwares. Gaz really makes you feel welcome and is beyond knowledgeable.I just attended a knife sharpening class with Gaz which was expertly led, taking you through the theory, to demonstration, before providing excellent guidance when it comes to the practical side of sharpening your own knives. They provide post-class support with a guide and encourage you to contact with any questions.I now feel confident in the technique of using a whetstone and can’t wait to get to work on the draw full of dull blades in the kitchen.A top evening learning something new and having a great time while doing so!I can’t recommend this business highly enough and highly encourage all to pay them a visit!Thank you so much for all you do!
