My family and I have been coming to this shop for almost 35 years. My Nan and Grandad would bring us on a Tuesday and the food was / is still fantastic. I always loved the chilli vinegar. The staff are wonderful and always remember us when we come in even though I’m now 40. A total must if you are visiting Clayton.

Very poor.pies were terrible .Black meat filling and burnt on bottom . Not recommended at all.

Coming from the Eastend and having tasted some of the finest piemash London as to offer.....this place isn't far off in my opinion mash and liquor are on point and the pies where too....I like burnt pies and lucky the wonderful lady behind the counter found two for me as most of the others looked to light for my liking but each to there own....I will definitely be back

Pies shouldn't have gravy in them and the liquor was lumpy, worst pie and mash, not traditional at all

Perhaps best pie and mash shop we've visited pies always fresh mash is always just right an the liquor is how it should be takes me back to when I was a kid and it's always piping hot, Simon is a really nice and friendly man and the staff are just as nice wish it was nearer to us rather than in Clacton we could have it every other day ! prices are very reasonable as well...you've got to try it

Been coming here for years with my family on a regular basis and I can not fault nothing this is the best pie and mash shop in Clacton. The staff are lovely and the place is clean and tidy. 5*

Newly retired I spent a couple of days travelling north Essex and thought , as there are two different shops here , I would have a pie and mash off in clacton ! I’ll keep my result to myself but with an honest opinion the food on offer here is average . Now average sounds derogatory but it’s not meant to be . The pies are nice , the mash is ok , the liquor is a tad watery but ok . The price is brilliant ! And maybe that puts a reflection on the food
