Food was excellent. We are excited to have real afghan resturant in Liverpool.However , my honest opinion is you should improve the service.

After spotting this new addition to Smithdown Road, I decided to stop here for lunch. I've nothing but good things to say.The place was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The service was friendly and hospitable. The food was spot on, and great value.My Qabuli pilau came with plenty of super tender meat, and loads of rice. My chapli kebab was delicious, as were the sauces that came with it.The menu is very meat-heavy, so bear this in mind if you don't eat meat.

Food was freshly cooked, so be patient. Meat was succulent, tasty and fresh. Best mango lassi I have had, strong mango taste. Prices very reasonable and the restaurant was clean. Staff were polite and professional.

recently visited (Watan Restaurant ), I had a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this place. They offer the best of food that is absolutely clean and hygienic and to Tasty and also their staff is really polite and soft-spoken.

Incredibly tasty food and huge portions. A little gem which doesn't seem as popular as it should be. Manto (lamb dumplings) were unforgettable.

The food was amazing. Was above my expectations. The service was a bit slow. Nice place to sit and enjoy the food but the music was a bit loud.

Lovely food and amazing service! I had never tried afghan food but after this restaurant it has become one of my favourite cuisines would definitely recommend if you are on smithdown and are looking for a change from greasy chippys!!

Authentic Afghani cuisine best in Liverpool. I’ve tried a handful of items on their menu on different occasions and the taste has been brilliant every-time absolutely love their food.

Genuinely one of the best Karahi in the North West. Was taken a back driving down Smithdown Road noticing an Afghan place however Watan didn’t disappoint. Great Pilao, but the highlight was the Karahi. This place is going to be very very busy soon and it’s gonna be that spot that people will travel for. A great addition to the Liverpool food scene!
