We visited Katie and Donna when our baby was just 6 days old from the advice of our midwife. Our Sin had a very tight tongue tie which we had no prior experience with our last two babies. Feeding had become increasingly painful and he was struggle to latch.My partner initially rang and spoke with Katie who asked some questions and straight away made the whole process so much more relaxed after my initial worry.We visited the clinic 2 days later and it was confirmed our son needed the procedure to help him feed and the implications which could occur further down the line did we chose not to go ahead. Every detail was explained to us and use of photos from prior examples was shown. It was a super relaxed environment and our son needed 3 little snips unfortunately however this was done very quickly and given straight back to me to comfort and feed him.I was very emotional at the time however both Katie and Donna were so understanding and make the whole process so much easier. We also had to take our 2 year old son with us and they were so friendly.We weren’t rushed out the door once it had been done I had time to feed and sort the baby and ensure he was comfortable and feed before we left.All aftercare was explained to us and we also had a follow up phone call a week later to check on progress.I would 100% recommend visiting if you two are worried your baby has any issues we were seen and sorted very promptly and felt very confident with the information we received for aftercare.Thank you both for helping our son with his feeding journey xx

We visited Donna and Katie after being told of a long NHS wait and I'm so glad we did! My son was feeding every 30 minutes and had a very shallow latch due to not being able to open his mouth wide enough. I'd developed mastitis and was thoroughly fed up and ready to end our breastfeeding journey. Donna and Katie were amazing! I made the appointment at 6am in tears and we were seen at 10am. They explained the whole process and I felt completely informed throughout. After the division, the first feed felt like a fresh start, he opened his mouth wider, got a deeper latch and fed for about 40 minutes. Donna and Katie were very patient whilst waiting for him to finish feeding. They talked me through the aftercare and exercises and scheduled a check up call for a week later.It was honestly a great experience that's made lifelong changes, thank you so much to both of you.

As soon as my daughter was born, it was clear something wasn’t quite right with her sucking during breastfeeding despite her latch being correct. It was confirmed at the hospital that she had a tongue tie and I was offered an NHS tongue tie consultation for a weeks time. It became, however, increasingly excruciatingly painful to feed her to the point that I was shaking uncontrollably with pain during every feed (it literally felt like someone was stabbing the area with knives the entire duration of the feed) and the area was cracked and bleeding.Out of sheer desperation, I gave my baby formula for two days to a myself to recover before I decided that if I waited for the NHS appointment, I would probably give up breastfeeding altogether.A relative recommended Tongue Tie Midwives Yorkshire. I rang them and got an appointment for the same day. Both Katie and Donna were friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and made me feel incredibly comfortable during the procedure which was swift and problem free. They explained everything to me and provided clarification when needed.Ever since the procedure, baby has been feeding like a champion and the pain during feeding has significantly subsided. I can’t thank Tongue Tie Midwives Yorkshire enough and would 100% recommend them to anyone that feels their baby has a tongue tie.

Donna and Katie were absolutely brilliant when we took our son to have his tongue tie cut. They really listened to our concerns and took the time to help explain the exercises and positions to help him relearn how to feed with a greater range of tongue motion. The aftercare has been great too. Have already recommended them to someone and wouldn’t hesitate to do that again.

Donna and Katie are so so lovely, very professional and put you at ease straight away with their kind and calm approach. They were amazing with my little girl and she enjoyed some cuddles whilst we did the assessment which was lovely. It might only be a snip but I found the (very quick) procedure quite emotional and they were so supportive and gave me all the information I needed. We noticed a difference almost instantly just with the feel of feeding for me, and my little girl is a lot more comfortable and happy in feeding a week on. I managed to get an appointment with Donna and Katie the day after I was told my baby had tongue tie (having had lots of problems breastfeeding and getting my little one to latch). The service they offer is fantastic - the procedure was quick and I felt really at ease; they listened and explained everything really clearly. They have also provided great aftercare and lots of helpful advice to help me on my journey. Would recommend.

I highly recommend a visit to TTMY, my wife and I took our 2 week old after been told the wait for the NHS was long. I’m so glad we did as they assessed him and it was clear he needed the procedure as a priority. They talked us through it, we’re really supportive, informative and helpful. The procedure was quick and our little one breast fed right after and was settled. Katie and Donna were both so empathetic and listened to our worries, birth journey and feeding journey and offered a lot of support and advice including the follow up call where they were able to offer further feeding advice.Thank you for all your help and advice it’s really appreciated.

We made a same day appointment at the clinic following no improvement in symptoms after an initial procedure on the NHS two weeks prior and with a two week wait to be seen again. Katie and Donna were so friendly and really looked after both of us. They were extremely knowledgable and thorough, talking me through the assessment and then the tongue tie procedure. We now have a happy mum and baby, feeding well! I can’t recommend enough.

Having been told our son didnt have tongue tie by multiple professionals, i still believed he did and looked into having a private assessment done. I came across 'Tongue Tie Midwives Yorkshire Ltd' and messaged them re my concerns. Donna got back in touch with me really quickly and had a really good/informative chat with me over my concerns and worries. I was actually listened to for the first time. I was sent all info via email about what we had discussed and there was no pressure to book an assessment at all but i knew after speaking with her that i would be booking one even for peace of mind. When we arrived we were greeted by both Donna & Katie and were made to feel really comfortable. They explained absolutely everything in so much detail, the knowledge they have is fantastic and we instantly felt at ease and that we had made the correct decision on choosing them to bring our son to. They were very thorough when checking our son but also gentle and caring. My gut instinct was correct and he did have a tongue tie, which was quickly cut. The care after was still impeccable and there was no 'rushing us out the door' so to speak, we had time to sit while he settled and had a feed, while still being checked on by both Donna & Katie, and to discuss after care. Any questions/worries we had were all answered thoroughly. Absolutely amazing and professional!Donna and Katie listened to all of my concerns and made me feel so comfortable.They were quick to respond to my email and booked my son in 3 days after the enquiry.The aftercare is also superb and reassuring.My son is so much more content after his tongue tie was snipped which ended up being a quick procedure within the consultation.Very clean and sterile procedure, could see that Donna and Katie followed all protocols and explained everything in detail.It’s lovely to see such caring and compassionate individuals dedicating their time to an area of post natal care that isn’t often addressed.
