Coastal Cruises

Travelled on Nordlys.....definitely not a cruise, so don't expect that (do your research!) but we had a great time. If you can afford it, do a platinum upgrade. This gives you a clothing package, free excursions, early access to your cabin etc, but best of all you can dine in Kysten restaurant every night - and the food was fantastic! Cannot stress how good the food was in this restaurant, and we were so well looked after by Nicholas and Alexandra - we never looked at a menu, but let them decide what to serve us and it was always fantastic!!Platinum upgrade also meant a reserved window seat in Torget restaurant for breakfast and lunch where we were served by Kristina - she was a delight - so friendly and eager to help us.

Friendly and informative staff, good food, interesting talks/lectures,wonderful scenery, relaxing lounges, shore visits available - no pressureto participate in anything. The midnight concert at Tromso Cathedralwas an uplifting experience when gifted musicians and singersperformed.

Several years ago no - just after the Icelandic volcano problem which delayed my departure by a few weeks. Everything went smoothly thereafter.I cannot speak too highly of Hurtigruten and they have apparently got even better in the interim - new ships - bigger buffets. If you have the chance --GO!!

My Wife and I have been on the Round Voyage 5 times and have Loved it every time very very much.Can’t go often enough. Julie y Jan
