Skye Lodge

Skye Lodge was our favorite stay on our holiday. Upon arrival our hosts were very welcoming and kind. They were very accommodating and provided us with a delicious tea and biscuits spread! Our room was clean and calm with a gorgeous view. Breakfast was delicious every morning! I cannot stress how wonderful the staff was!

We had an amazing stay. Doug and Darren were both extremely helpful with giving us tips on things to do and places to eat. Would definitely stay again if I’m back in Skye!

Wonderful accommodations on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Clean, well appointed, and included breakfast. The owners provided knowledgeable suggestions and were incredibly friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice owners. Nice large bathroom, really nice hot showers. Great breakfast you can choose continental or specials. We had a wonderful time on the Isle of Skye. I highly recommend this hotel.

This place was lovely and Doug, Claire, and their daughter were wonderful hosts! The rooms were the nicest of my stay in Scotland - very quiet, comfortable, and the shower was fantastic. Doug was very helpful with suggestions of food, activities, and navigation; and breakfast was delicious.The location is great with an amazing view of the loch; only a short walk to restaurants and activities such as the castle (~30 min), lookout points (~5-45 min), and local artesian shops (~10-20 min); a 10 min walk to the nearest bus stop; and a good road if you are driving. The island buses don’t run on Sundays so if you don’t have a car, I recommend saving local activities for that day or using taxis. All of the food nearby is delicious but the truly wonderful places fill up so best to book a few days ahead of arrival. Doug recommended The Old School, it’s a favorite of locals and visitors, the staff is very friendly, and it’s only a 2 min walk from the lodge!

We had a lovely stay here and cannot recommend it highly enough. The property was immaculate and our host very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Our room was very spacious as was our bathroom, finished to a high quality throughout. The nearby Old School restaurant was excellent too and only a short walk away, but worth booking in advance. The location in Dunvegan is excellent and made for a good base for walks, drives and in my case a brisk cycle out to Neist Point Lighthouse before breakfast (if you happen to be a daft road cyclist like me). Breakfast is made to order and is excellent. Overall an absolute pleasure to stay and I hope to come again.

Congratulations. You've found the place to stay on Skye. Your hosts Douglas and Darren are two of the most warm and welcoming you'll ever meet. The rooms are large, beautifully appointed, clean and fresh, and quiet. Restfully quiet.The view from here is magnificent.The location is great to visit a host of scenic spots like Dunvegan castle, which is just up the road. It's away from the trap of Portree so that's a plus.Breakfast was superb. I recommend the full Scottish breaky at least once, and this is the place to have it.

Where to begin! We loved our stay here and will cherish the memories.The hosts were fantastic, helpful, funny, and served up a great breakfast. Extremely personable, wanted to make sure we were having a great stay, etc.What can you say about Skye except how beautiful it is. And you get a taste of that in the Skye Lodge. Stunning views out of your bedroom window. Picnic tables and a firepit right outside your door. It seriously can not be beat.The location is great— Dunvegan is a small, quiet town, but there are great spots to have dinner and drinks if you plan ahead.You will not regret staying here if you’re on Skye!

Skye Lodge was absolutely incredible! The room and location were incredible with beautiful views. Breakfast was amazing and the guys were so friendly and helpful. Dunvegan was a bit of a quieter location which was nice.
