I wrote the review below 5 years ago - my son has stayed with AAKA - he's now working towards his black belt - karate is such a big part of his life. Everything I wrote all those years ago is still true - just more so! I can't recommend Ian Warren and his karate school highly enough!My son has been attending AAKA classes for a couple of years now and is progressing quickly through his grades. I am impressed by the teachers, they have that great balance of being firm yet kind. Learning karate is giving my son some very worthwhile life skills; body awareness, strength training, self confidence, performing under exam conditions and making new friends.

My son has been taking classes nearly a year. He's been enjoying himself. Not only he's learning Karate but also he has been disciplined. The instructor is friendly and yet very firm and encouraging in class. Quite often, my son cannot stop showing me at home what he learnt in class, which is now inspiring his little sister. She's still too young but looks like she can't wait to join her brother!

I highly recommend AAKA karate, my boys both really enjoy the classes and they have both learnt great skills and discipline. Really friendly instructors and classes always have a great atmosphere.
