Visited today, Seed room was lovely for coffee and cake. Was pleasantly surprised at how affordable Christmas items were at this garden centre

We thought we would try out the cafe at this garden centre. It's nicely positioned just outside of Middletown near the mining museum. The garden centre is very well stocked and beautifully laid out.Great selection of animal food for large animals as well as small. Wonderful selection of wild bird feeders and feed.As a professional gardener this is what I call a real garden centre not alot of homeware.Great selection of flowers and plants to choose from for each season.I could literally buy everything here for my 500 regular customers. The staff are extremely friendly and helpfulFull of advice and supportDefinitely 5 stars from me

We called here after a hospital appointment to celebrate that all was fine. It has expanded since last visit. Food is gorgeous and desserts are delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. We called at the Garden Centre after and mooched and bought some plants. Staff were really helpful and lots of choices and bargains to be had.

First time I have been here. Travelled from greater Manchester, because they sold a particular compost I use. What an eye opener. A proper garden centre. Not a cafe and a shop selling tat and a selection of the usual suspects in terms of plants. It has everything that a serious gardener/allotment owner needs. The quality and range of plants is excellent. Staff are pleasant and polite. Prices are realistic. A great find and they are assured of my continuing custom. Worth the journey.

Beautiful little garden centre. Was tricky to find with us not knowing the area. And the carpark was very small. But very wheelchair accessible. Had lots of gluten free options which was lovely. Best jacket potato I've ever eaten had different toppings for them that you'd never guess before!Lovely little garden centre lots of nice gifts and plants. They even had vegetables at the door to buy. Staff really lovely kind and welcoming. Definitely would come back!

Really nice small garden centre. Has a varied range of outdoor garden plants. All ranges catered for from bedding plants to ornamental or fruit trees. Also supplies a range of pots and planters, garden tools, seeds and propagation equipment. Also has a nice sized cafe which was really popular.Room for improvement with the houseplant selection. But otherwise well worth a visit.

Friendly staff, love it, but when we arrived at 17.50, they seemed to rush us out. We got blocked in my things they were bringing in. You close at 6, not 20 to. Shame, other than that they are great.

A small, but well managed garden centre, plants are grown very well and are still fresh. It even has a small cafe.Garden centres can become so big that none of the plants get the attention they need to stay fresh. This business has the advantage of being small. Good selection of rabbit food and lovely standard rose trees. Can't comment on the cafe as didn't stay to try it, and maybe it could find some partners who grow local produce, particularly jams, chutneys, honey, unpasteurised or full cream gold top milk & local ice cream direct from a local dairy, the usual thing, but with local appeal, might benefit them and the area enormously, and provide that little extra bit of interest to draw people in. But as an honest and well run garden center, it's excellent.
