THE MAT ACADEMY WALES - MMA ,BJJ, MUAY THAI BOXING and WRESTLING

Came to Wales for a holiday and i was looking up some local gyms for bjj.i was lucky to find this one.I had a great time from the get go and i was impressed with how welcome everybody made me feel.Coach showed some cool techniques and i had a blast in the sparring session.The level is high and the guys are very technical and egoless.I definitely recommend it and i will come back in future whenever i get the chance !Thank you very much for having me!

Incredibly welcoming group a people, really determined to get the best out of you. Would recommend to anyone, whether your looking to just get fit or improve your knowledge in many forms of martial arts, these guys are the best!

So much love for this place and these guys! I was brand new to bjj when I started over a year ago and haven't looked back since. The classes are for everyone, doesnt matter what size, age, gender, ability or experience you have, you're guaranteed to be welcomed, to learn a lot, get pushed to your limit (in a good way!) and most of all, have a good laugh.

At the Mat academy, I have learnt a lot from the coaches and have made great friends. It is a safe and friendly environment where you can develop as a martial artist. There is a range of classes that will suit all ages and abilities so if you are looking to lose weight, learn a martial art or just to try something new then the Mat academy is the place for you.

Brilliant gym with brilliant trainers! The talent is unreal and very accepting of all levels. I’ve always loved the sport yet no matter my level they have always accepted, motivated and given me time many gyms wouldn’t. I recommend to everyone Whether beginner or advanced they have everything. Thanks again may academy!!

If you want your child to have confidence, respect for themselves and others and also to get them off their xbox while learning new skills having exercise then this is the place to go. My son loves being part of the mat family. All for one and one for all.

The Mat Academy is a brilliant place!! I was looking to improve fitness levels and to learn new things. Having an average skill set from my younger 20s at the UFC centre, I didnt feel confident on attending classes due to the quality/level of fighters they have but never once felt like I shouldn't be there.2 months on and attending MMA Beginners and Jujistsu I leave every session feeling productive and educated. I cant wait to book my next class and to get my daughter involved with the kids jujistsu. Amazing coaches and humble experienced members.

Been training at MAT Academy for 14 months - attend the other classes when I can but mostly the BJJ class with Wayne. In that time I’ve improved my strength, fitness and learnt a lot all while having a laugh with everyone. Can’t recommend enough to anyone thinking of joining!
