Bon accueil, ils ne donnent pas trop d'informations une fois sur le site, je conseil de regarder des vidéos avant votre départ et de poser pas mal de questions! Bien tout vérifier et faire le tour du van.Nous avions un problème avec la porte des toilettes qui ne se maintenait pas fermée, à part ça tout était très bien. Vérifier la bouteille de gaz et le Adblue, nous n'étions pas certain de combien on avait de gaz et on a du acheter un bidon de Adblue.Télécharger l'application Park4night super utile!

I’m currently on a motorhome trip in Scotland. Indie campers is definitely one of the worst possible companies to hire a motorhome from. As in one of the other reviews below I guess im renting the same Atlas motorhome with everything broken!Toilet is leaking and obviously producing unpleasant smell. Wardrobe door is missing completely (who cares though). Windows are difficult to fix in open position, literally all parts of the exterior and most of the interior have some damages. Only two tires in front are of a same model, rear axis has tho different ones :) It will take ages to describe all of the issues with the vanDue to plans changed I asked if I can drop off earlier - the answer was yes, but without any refund.No use to ask for some repairs when you are on the holiday, highly doubt they would provide another motorhome. So, keeping finders crossed this fiat will bring us to Edinburgh safe.Scotland is awesome nevertheless

Fuyez !Indie Campers est loin d'être une entreprise sérieuse, pire ce sont des voleurs qui font des prélèvements illégaux (j'y reviens) .Nous avons opté pour un camping car, nous l'avons réceptionné dans un état pitoyable ( volets cassés, porte manquante, poignée de frigo cassé, frigo non fonctionnel sur l'électricité, toilettes inutilisable car mécanisme trop difficile à utiliser : j'y reviens ). Du bricolage partout ! . Pas d'autre solution pour nos vacances, nous avons pris cette poubelle !Soyez patient pour réceptionner le camping-car car c'est un cirque sans organisation ! Le lieu de récupération est une poubelle à ciel ouvert.Concernant le prélèvement illégal, nous avions des toilettes non fonctionnes car le mécanisme était trop usé et ne s'ouvrait pas facilement. En effet , la poignée s'est cassée lors de l'ouverture. Je vous laisse imaginer la galère durant la semaine..Lors de la restitution, nous avons était débité sur 2 comptes en banque différents de 850 livres pour cette poignée qui d'ailleurs a été réparée sous nos yeux en 5 minutes . La raison de ce prélèvement : le camping car n'était d'après eux pas louable dans l'état le meme jour. Or le personnel a terminée la préparation sous nos yeux pour le louer dans la foulée. Pour info : prix de la pièce 30€ .. Plusieurs toilettes identiques étaient également cassé devant le garage ..Après 4 h de bataille pour récupérer l'argent sur le lieu de restitution, le personnel a fait un mail à la centrale indie campers pour leur demander d'annuler la facture mais depuis indie campers ne veut rien entendre et garde notre argent . Tout cela avec l'assurance prenium souscrite .Pour conclure sur cette entreprise malhonnête, les salariés à Edinburgh sont désorganisé et infâmes.Nous lançons une démarche administrative pour récupérer nos 1000 euros !Bonne chance à vous futurs clients

Careful! - Indie Camper Scams CustomersWe had a trip in Scotland and I definetly cannot recommend this company.The company is totally unreliable, the campers are completly a mess and in very poor condition.Not only is the interior (e.g. mosquito net was not functional, planks in the cupboard not stable, table unstable) but also the exterior was also damaged (e.g. huge damages at the mirrors so it could no longer be adjusted or the car had huge scratches, even the wiperblades were damaged and didn't work!) and most important the campers are not fine from maintenance side.E.g. we have had an incident that the rear break light completly fell off. Without us even touching it. Then we checked the other one and found that the screws used were not genuine and could not hold the light.Additionally we have been stopped by the police and they wanted to stop our journey because the camper was in such poor conditions. We were only able to continue our journey because we organized a visit to a workshop in the presence of the police officers - Indie Camper only recommended using google to find a workshop... thank you for that....The workshop employee was shocked by the maintenance work of the camper. The (obviously no longer original) wiring which had been done at the rear was not done appropiate. They have connected the wires wrong so the rear light was connected to the fog light and the break light to the rear light. So even the not fallen off break light was not bright enough for a safe onward journey.Last but not least they want to charge us now for the rear light which did fell off. Because of their improper maintenance.So it is 100% a scam. Dont trust in them. We now file a criminal case against this company.Our holidays were ruined and also they want money for their own mistakes. Inappropiate behavior.

Très satisfait de notre van california ! Tout s'est bien passé lors de la réservation et lors de la restitution du véhicule. Juste un petit couac au niveau de la bouteille de gaz que nous avions commandée neuve et qui s'est révélée vide au bout du deuxième repas. Nous en avons donc achetée une nouvelle qui nous sera à priori remboursée dans les jours qui arrivent. Personnel sympathique, nous n'hésiterons pas à repasser par indie camper pour notre prochain roadtrip en van !

We rented a Nomad for a four-night trip for two people. Overall, we were pretty happy with it, and the prices were reasonable. Checking in and out was easy, and the car was as expected. Heating worked properly and we didn't even empty 1 gas cylinder in the cold October nights. It had some minor dings inside and out, but they didn't affect how it worked. Accordingly they were not excessively meticulous when we returned the car. The online customer service left much to be desired as I did not receive satisfactory answers to my questions.It truly offered us a fantastic way to explore the beauty of Scotland. And for those looking to avoid traditional camping, I suggest giving Park4night a try.

Great overall experience with Indie Campers in Edinburgh. To be honest, before arriving and reading some of the past reviews, I was a little worried going into our trip. Indie Campers in Edinburgh must have listened to recent reviews, our experience was flawless. The VW California was perfect and exactly what we needed and was as advertised. They are listening and truly care about people’s experiences. Would definitely recommend, and would use again. Scotland was amazing!

Please avoid this company at all cost, it is a scam.The campers are not insured on both the roof and the underside (the most expensive parts) and you sign to pay all damages to these parts.Best thing is you have no idea how much they are going to charge you for it. They claim to base the charges according to their 'rental price firm table', but you are never allowed to see it as it's for 'internal use only'.You're also not allowed to know where they plan to repair the vehicle, or call the repair place to verify the repair costs.In short they can and will charge you with whatever price and there's nothing you can do about it.They charged my friends and I with 9000 pounds for a small 10cm scratch on the roof. It is insane.Renting at this company is one of the biggest mistakes I ever made, please don't do the same.

A éviter absolument!La zone de check in et le local montrent l'état global et le manque de sérieux de l'entreprise.Les campings car sont très dégradés et l'entreprise au lieu de les réparer et de changer à neuf les pièces font du bricolage dessus: rideau cassé, placard cassé, poignée qui ne tient pas...Et le pire est lors du check out où ils vous facturent tout et n'importe quoi et cherche à tout prix vous faire payer!Ils ne nous font rien signer lorsque l'on rend le camping car et derrière l'entreprise nous prélève notre caution, puis réalise un autre prélèvement sans notre accord! (1000€)Bien sur les échanges par mail avec le headcenter ne sert à rien et ne veulent pas comprendre.Nous sommes actuellement en train de porter plainte et de lancer une enquête par notre banque.Indie campers sont des escrocs, passez votre chemin.

ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS COMPANY - UNSAFE!I rented an Indie Camper along with friends who rented another van - both of us families of 4 with children and our experience was honestly horrific.When we arrived around 11:30 am for our early pick-up time (that we paid for!) our vans were not ready for pick up. We had paid for 2 baby seats as we were traveling with a 1.5 year old (20lbs) and a 3.5 year old (30 lbs) and when we opened our van to look inside we found that they had given us two booster seats (booster seats are for 7+ years old). When I went to tell staff they accidently put in boosters instead of baby seats - I was very kind, I assumed it was an honest mistake - they informed me they had a white board and someone wrote booster seat not baby seat. I said that was fine, I wasn't upset or anything, I just needed the appropriate seats for my kids. They told me they didn't have another one and I would have to go buy my own. I told them I couldn't do that as I can't drive without my kids in a car seat and they told me that was my problem, not theirs.This was both a disappointing experience and simply an unacceptable one. Indie's online promotional photos have children in them, making me believe this was a child friendly company - this was not the way I was expecting to be treated with children.We did not end up being able to leave the lot until 4 pm. We missed an entire day of our trip and had to cancel plans we made and miss out entirely on Glasgow because of this.Our second bed wasn't installed in the van. There was blue stuff all over one of the shelving units. The battery was unplugged, but not full? The water wasn't full either.From there more problems arose. When we got to our first campsite the ad-blue light was on. Not even half a day into our trip - 4 hours. This means it was not filled at all by the location we picked up from. Then we went to get ready for bed and our second set of bedding had dirty pillows, literal dirt all over them. (see photos attached). So we went the whole trip without a second set of bedding because of this. Our kitchen set was dirty (again see photos). We only had used rolls of toilet paper.We then noticed the battery only charged while we were driving - we would have it plugged in all night and it would not charge at all. I have video proof of this.While we were driving on day 4 the shelf above the kitchen area - where the kids sit - simply flew off and INTO MY CHILD. He had a chipped front tooth because of this. It wasn't screwed in, simply placed back in, as if it was broken but instead of being fixed it was just shoved in and looked okay until it fell out.Then on night 5 our propane ran out while heating the van. Now, for reference, we didn't arrive at our campgrounds until an hour before bedtime every night, so we only ran heating for an hour before sleep and then just cuddled close throughout the night. We never used hot water - literally never. And we only cooked ONCE at that point. Our friends ran their propane heating for around 2-3 hours before bed, and cooked EVERY NIGHT and their propane lasted until the last night of our vacation. Then we went looking for somewhere to refill the propane and had a very hard time finding anywhere that would fill our specific tanks and went a whole night with two kids 3 and under with NO HEAT. This means the propane tank was not full when we picked it up. No one told us this, nor did they tell us the back up would be empty.When we returned the vans, we were accused of denting the van even though when we picked up I specifically pointed out every dent and it was documented in our contract. Because we were accused of this and had to find proof from the day we picked up - again, even though it was well documented in our contract agreement! - we missed our train to London and had to purchase tickets again.I realize a lot of this could be a simple error, but when put all together, it very much seems negligent and disrespectful to me as a client.
