I was experiencing a fault with the 1st Gear in a manual Peugeot 208 (2012 plate) where it was making a crunching sound when trying to change gears - downshifting.I checked for a reputable gearbox specialist and JDM had the best reviews.I called JDM and spoke with James who gave me a full breakdown of the possible repair costs which was really competitive.I booked the repair in with James and he diagnosed and fixed the gearbox fault.The gearbox was removed and installed by JDM and I had clutch changed at the same time.The car now drives perfectly and James kept me informed throughout the whole process. The repair turn around was also really fast.I had AA parts cover and it authorised the repair work which I was able to claim back, due to James being thorough in his explanation of the fault which I’m grateful for.Thank you for your hard work James, great customer service.A genuine and honest mechanic. 5/5

A late review as i had my gearbox done 3 months ago but Had my gearbox repaired here, excellent service, the gearbox was back with me really quick, it works like its brand new and ive had no problems since. If i ever need it repaired again ill be coming here and highly reccomend this business. Quick turnaround, kept me updated and a great person to deal with.Highly reccomend to anyone.Thankyou

James did a fantastic job with my Renault trafic gearbox its smooth and he did it so fast. The man is very good at what he does I can’t recommend him enough. Thanks James
