Great day out with the kids..Lots of stuff going on during school holidays and weekends, like viking encampments, medieval and civil war reenactment, insights in to living in historic times.

Over the past three years or more, we've been frequenting Avoncroft Museum, primarily during their themed weekend events. The wealth of interest and charm it offers keeps drawing us back, and we make it a point to attend whenever they host these events.

Great selection of historical buildings in an attractive setting, well worth a visit, the staff were friendly and informative, a really nice day out and you really shouldn't miss the Tea Rooms.

Really interesting collection of historic buildings in a sympathetic setting. Was particularly inspired by the windmill but unfortunately missed the chance to see it in operation.A good hour and a half visiting the past and learning where some of the buildings came from and how they were restored.

Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings
Visited with school in 82, a long overdue re visit.Well worth the entry fee, really enjoyed the themed weekend.The buildings and other curious collections. Who would have thought internet phone boxes.Only thing to mention, take a packed lunch, there is a tea room, plus a Mobile snack bar that really was out of place.Anyway, full day walking around, lots to see, excellent. Won't leave it so long till the next visit.

Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings
Excellent outdoor museum with plenty of old buildings to see and look around, one of which, the prefab post war house had a volunteer who talked us through the building. Overall a good opportunity to have a stroll and learn some history

If you like old buildings then a great place to go. Also an interesting collection of old telephone boxes.Lots of room for kids, picnics and a play area.Wheelchair accessible.

Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings
My first visit in over thirty years and it didn't disappoint. A nice level site, plenty of toilets and seating. Excellent food in the Edwardian tea room. Fascinating exhibit of telephone kiosks. And the buildings, of course. All set in beautiful surroundings.
