For us pavements and parking were issues due to the popularity of various towns. In terms of improving things, maybe more pedestrianised streets, or greater out of town parking during the summer season.

One of the most beautiful places to visit. The kids love it. There's board to go across the lake, can feed the ducks with the town centre a few minutes walk away. Sometimes the parking machine doesn't always let you use your card so better to have cash. We love going to the lake with the dog and all enjoy an ice cream there. They even have dog ice cream :-)

The whole Lake District is very peaceful. The outside Town of Keswick was quite low key, pleasant. The Town itself actually very touristy, I would say, parking can be a pain in the neck when you come into town for dinner. It's a family with kids vacation kind of town. We spent a couple of day there for Scafell Pike"
