Peter is a talented, charismatic and engaging piano teacher who takes time to get to know his pupils, thereby getting the very best out of them. He makes learning the piano fun and provides excellent feedback in a positive way. I recommend Peter without hesitation; he is one of the very best!

I highly recommend Peter Stevenson who offers all styles of piano teaching and makes his lessons relaxed and fun whilst being patient and encouraging to his students. My daughter has been taught by Peter for over 8 years from beginner level to currently working on Grade 6 and GCSE syllabus. She thoroughly enjoys Peter’s lessons which have given her such a love of music and aims to continue progressing with him to achieve her diploma.

I cannot recommend Peter highly enough. He has taught my children piano for 11 years and it seems like no time at all. During that time he has managed to keep them enthused with his fun personality, relaxed manner and by challenging them to not only practice exam pieces but to play in festivals and recitals. My two boys are now learning grade 8 piano and I can honestly say that the piano is rarely silent in our house. My husband and I don't play so we can only thank Peter for nurturing a genuine love and passion for piano which we also get to enjoy. Peter is so talented and yet tremendously humble. If you want a genuinely talented piano teacher, who has patience to burn and a heart of a lion then Peter Stevenson is your man! We cannot thank him enough!

I am an adult learner (Grade7/8) and have recently begun lessons with Peter. I chose him as my new teacher on the basis of his high level of qualification and his brilliant track record of student success. It was a wise choice!Peter is very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his teaching. He plans and thinks about it carefully, identifying student strengths as well as weaknesses, and suggesting pieces and exercises with a clear view to future improvement. He is hugely encouraging, and has an eye for technical as well as musical detail. The written feedback he provides after each lesson is insightful, clear, and a detailed recap of the lesson's learning points.In summary, Peter is a fine musician and a systematic, empathic, and highly motivating teacher. I am thoroughly enjoying my lessons (and my practice!).

Peter is an amazing piano teacher! He has been teaching my daughter for the past couple of years both in person and more recently over zoom. He makes the lessons fun and relaxed. He is extremely patient and always very positive and encouraging. We would have no hesitation in recommending Peter!
