Quiet visit on a Monday. Piece of corshams history and always a friendly atmosphere. Worth a trip out the back to the secret garden of its sunny. Good selection of beers. No complaints!

The Royal Oak
A cozy little pub in the high street. There is ample parking to the rear of the pub and a small beer garden. As with most old pubs, the configuration isn't intuitive. To access the toilets you must exit the rear of the property, into the beer garden and then into the toilets from there, potentially difficult for the elderly or drunken customer.

Fantastic place for a night out or lunch as the chef is excellent and they do have specials . Very involved in the community and extremely helpful when I wanted to do a charity event for Macmillans. I could go in at any time and know someone there and it doesn't feel intimidating like some pubs do for single women. Great b and b too and the breakfast is amazing. Staff always friendly and the live music is great.

Went to a family event innthe function room upstairs, I tripped twice on the random step by the back door, I couldn't see any warning sign and almost fell while holding my baby. The smoking area is right outside the back door ( I assume as punters were smoking there) not ideal as you have to walk through the smoke to get to the car park.Other than that it's an OK place to go.

On the Cask Marque AleTrail. Limited choice on this visit, but in acceptable condition nonetheless.Affable bar staff and plenty of history in the building, for whom these things matter.Worth more than one visit.

The Royal Oak
A pub suited best for the younger generation. Interior pretty small however has a smoking area out back with a large car park. A good place to go out with your young mates not a great place to have a pub lunch with your family as I don't believe food is on the cards. Service is good, polite service etc.

I stayed at the Royal Oak on Sat 24th September for one night. I had the big ensuite room. There was a comfortable double bed and 2 singles, so perfect for a family. The ensuite was good with a bath, not a shower but all worked perfectly and the hot water flowed well in the morning. There was a band playing that evening, which I was warned about but I was assured that all the band would finish at 2300 and they did! All quiet by 2330.The breakfast was substantial and delicious. All in all a great experience.
