At the 'beginning' of the Town Centre, it's a convenient (and cost-effective :-)) watering hole, from/to the Mayorhold Car Park; reasonable prices for drinks. But gets busy (even crowded) afternoons so be prepared for jostling for space :-) ... otherwise a decent pub.

Friendly staff who were extremely capable. I saw a barman simultaneously pull two pints at arms length, and one of them was Guinness. Well done, great place.

They asked me for id I had a lemonade and asked me for id as soon as I had my lemonade to enter the building I didn’t bring it with me cause it’s a pub, they asked me to leave, I’ve been so offended this is my first time going to this place and will be my last. They was disrespectful. The guy that works there with black hair asked me I don’t recommend that place and he offended me really bad

I've always have a good time in the bear,sometimes I get in trouble with the staff I just wish they would listen when I tell them I have adhd and misunderstand people but it's not my fault other l can't complain at all good laugh in there.

Nice, clean and a bit dated local town centre pub. Good prices, friendly bar staff & quality local characters. Good for a few drinks before a night out or just having a nice cold beer in a friendly environment.
