Laptop Chap

Super happy with Laptop Chap! My fairly new pc laptop died and after many attempts of trying to fix it with local companies, i almost gave up, as everyone told me this is it - no way it can be done. A friend of mine recommended me to get in touch with Emlyn at Laptop Chap - he had his Mac fixed last year, and guess what ? My laptop is UP AND RUNNING again! In fact, I am writing this review from it! :) Emlyn was great , I am very happy with the service and a result and it was failry priced as well! Thank you very much!

Laptop screen broke on my first day at Uni. Came in, within twenty minutes he’d figured out the problem, talked to me about what the replacement would be, and only charged me for the parts. When delivery of said part was delayed I was kept completely up to date, and my laptop now works perfectly. Best repair experience I’ve ever had.

Was recommended to this place by my housemate, and got my laptop battery replaced. Really nice chap, spoke through everything with me and replaced some old laptop screws free of charge. Definitely recommend!

Amazing service! Emlyn is extremely nice and helpful, I could tell from the start he really knew what he was talking about. I dropped my laptop on the ground and something broke inside and parts started coming out. I went to two other places before coming here and no one seemed to really know what was wrong with it and the price they estimated for repair was extremely high that I was considering just buying a new one. When I showed it to Emlyn he immediately knew what was wrong with it, even showed me what happened to it on another laptop part he had and he was really considerate and sensible about prices and repair timings, he wouldn't take any actions until I agreed on a final price and time and the final price was much lower than what the other places estimated and my laptop is good as new! I 100% recommend Laptop Chap!

I would highly recommend taking your laptop to Emlyn as he is a competent technician who offers a friendly and informative service. He helped to eliminate stress I had related to my laptop issues and charged a very honest price. A great guy along with a business of integrity.

My (15 year old) camcorder broke a few months ago, and I could not get my precious childhood videos off of there since they were saved to the hard-drive. After much questioning on Facebook community pages about how to recover my files, and one person saying they wouldn't go near it with a barge pole, I thought it was a lost cause. But Emlyn saved the day! He took on the task with excitement and after ordering a new converter for my ancient hard drive he recovered 29GB of footage for me. Couldn't recommend enough, such friendly service and very decent pricing. The guy knows his stuff!!

Top notch service, I came in with a phone that I thought was completely done for and Emlyn found the problem, went out and bought the part, replaced it, and had it ready to go within 3 hours of me coming in. Not only that, but he only charged me for the parts! He was completely transparent with me about what the issue might be and how to fix it, as well as pricing and generally he made me feel very comfortable despite me not knowing anything techy. Incredible guy doing great stuff, I’ll definitely be seeing him next time I break something!
