Cosy and friendly restaurant. The kitchen seems to be an one men show" which adds to the beauty of the restaurant. The food was (I just wished it had a bit less cream in the mushrooms and a better bread like sourdough)

I would say the best roast dinner in Tooting - had the beef this time and it was cooked perfectly with a wide range of great accompaniments. It’s not cheap but certainly worth it. We had a cheese board for dessert which was also very good and decent value. I’ve been for brunch before and remember it being excellent but have yet to try the regular dinner menu. Service was also very friendly and quick.

Come here for a brunch after park run. The creamy wild mushroom toast was really good! The chef knows what he is doing. Strongly recommend! Lovely and cosy place to go!

It was my birthday and my wife who was back in my home country called me and suggested I should still treat myself with a nice dinner even when I am living alone and without her company.I took out my phone, looked at Google Maps, and I decided to give Richard's Kitchen a try.It took a fair walk of ~30 mins from my home, and the weather was cold after the rain earlier in the day.Well, it turned out to be well worth it.Whatever expectations I had before entering the restaurant, Richard and his lovely staff have exceeded them all!Richard and the rest of the staff greeted me in such a genuinely kind and caring way that I felt at home almost instantly. Maybe it was also because there weren't too many customers at the time so they were not as busy, but still it was a really personal and seriously enjoyable touch, which is really appreciated!Everything from the starter to the main dish tasted so good. They even kindly made a special dish for me to make my B-day special.Even the MINT tea was well made with fresh mint leaves. Last but not least, the dessert. I loved it, period.I never expected to have such a great dining experience in a restaurant which may look absolutely ordinary from outside. Richard and his team really put their heart and soul into running this space, and yes I can feel it, see it, and of course taste it.They totally deserve more customers than they currently have given the quality of food at a very fair price. I look forward to getting back there regularly as long as I still live somewhere around. Thanks Richard, we only had a brief talk but you have successfully impressed me as a talented chef, warm-hearted restaurant owner, and a genuinely great human being.

Had a great night at Richards. An interesting menu which changes often, with british produce. Waitress (Chloe) was fun and attentive. Richard at the end of the night came and had a chat with us. Top bloke. Passionate about his food.Non pretentious, great food, great vibes. Will come back.

I’ve deliberated about posting this review but only because it’s a small place and I still want to be able to get a table!Everything seems to be made from scratch. It’s delicious. The big breakfast is poorly named - huge would be better. Eggs, bacon, sausages, black pudding AND steak along with home made beans, toast, mushroom and proper bubble. And where else can you get kippers for breakfast? Lovely. This place is a veritable gem.

We love Richard’s. It’s a small venue and fairly unassuming, but the food is incredible. Lots of ever changing modern European meals to choose from cooked to an incredibly high standard at a very reasonable price. I feel welcomed with my baby, as well as when I’ve booked for a large group. Richard is very lovely as are the other staff.

Had the mushrooms on sourdough and my boyfriend had the big breakfast. Both incredible, flavours were amazing and tasted like the highest quality foods were used. Prices were very reasonable - will definitely be back!

This place is a magical hole in the wall. I would have bathed in the mushroom toast starter it was that delicious. And the halibut tail? SWOON. The roast chicken with cabbage that tasted of hugs and christmas… um, more please.
