Best sales agent in Brighton by far. I sold my large double fronted terraced house in Kemptown through the Property Shop and I couldn’t have found a better agent. I had tried unsuccessfully 4 times previously through different agencies, but the property Shop were amazing and sealed a deal within a week of listing and then worked tirelessness to make sure it closed within a tight deadline. Honest, straightforward and decent, streets ahead of all the other agents I have used in Brighton.

They're all smiles and kind when they're making a sale, and then their true colours show after contacts are signed.Our landlord even told us not to ask them for anything because 'they were useless and unresponsive', and to contact the landlord directly. (Confused why the landlord still uses them)We had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with Lisel and some other woman. They were doing us the biggest favour by doing their jobs. Their mannerisms by email and phone don't follow any kind of etiquette found in the world.They were nowhere to be found when we were moving out except to tell us to drop the keys through the letter box.This is a review for my unfortunate time with them in 2022.

I have no idea who Steve is paying to leave these positive reviews but The Property Shop is the worst letting agent I've ever experienced.The company is completely incompetent, from taking 8 months to return our deposit (they only gave us back a fraction of what they should have) to not returning countless calls.Steve never gave us any notice when he was coming round (by law he has to give at least 24 hours notice). At times he didn't even ring the doorbell, he just came in with his key.Any issue we had with the property, from a leaking ceiling to blocked pipes was apparently always our fault, even when some of these were structural issues that had clearly been given surface level fixes.Our old downstairs neighbours had so many issues with the property shop that they took them to court, won and received thousands of pounds in compensation.Avoid at all costs.

I have just recently purchased my first flat through the Property Shop. From start to finish, Michael made the process as easy and straight-forward as possible and went above and beyond to help and answer any questions, communicating really promptly to any queries I had. I have found him to be very professional and honest, it has been a pleasure to buy my first home through this agent!

I truly cannot recommend The Property Shop enough. Myself and my best friend are two young professionals and we have just moved into a new flat with The Property Shop and I cannot express enough our gratitude to them. We’ve had a really, really difficult time with our previous agency and a beyond challenging time finding somewhere to rent with the current housing crisis. From start to finish The Property Shop have been such a massive help to us. They’ve answered our questions with thorough detail, ensured we have all the information we need before entering our property and have been so positive and supportive. Lisel particularly has been a star. When we picked up our keys Lisel and her colleague were genuinely excited to hand them to us (this made us smile a lot!). There is one thing in particular where the team went the extra mile, we had a serious issue with our previous agency regarding our end of tenancy date and we got in touch with Lisel about moving our new tenancy date forward by a few days, Lisel and her colleagues did what they could and brought our move in date forward, they arranged contractors to come in quickly and changed the agreement so the flat would be ready for us on the new move in date. They didn’t have to do this at all and I think this truly shows how they will do what they can to make moving easier for those renting from them, particularly in the time of a major housing crisis. Thank you so much again to Lisel and all the staff at The Property Shop for making us feel so welcome and for going above and beyond!

This was my first time flat hunting on my own, I had a lot of bad experiences with other agents which left me completely dis heartened. The Property Shop have been absolutely amazing, very kind and extremely helpful keeping me updated about everything. If I've had any questions about anything my emails and calls are answered immediately and helped me in any way they could. I have to say a massive thank you Lisel who is so genuine, so kind and helped me find a beautiful property to call home. The Property Shopwent over and above with getting my property purchase over the line. Michael was always in hand to answer any questions, helpful in providing access and dealt with any issues that cropped up (as they always do with property purchases!)I couldn’t recommend him more highly enough in both buying and selling in the Kemptown area.

They come across nice but discriminate against benefits and disability leaving the most vulnerable people homeless even if you have nothing but good financial history and large amounts of savings. When you enquire about properties they do not even reply and refused to provide an answer for the landlord's decision. The law states you are not allowed to discriminate against disability and benefits and have a duty to provide housing to those deemed vulnerable and too financially stable for council housing and they are breaking that law.
