The Shore Bar and Restaurant
A great experience. After a long day helping our daughter move in to her new apartment we were beyond hungry and walking in the hope of finding somewhere to have dinner. There are certainly no shortage of places around Leith harbour side and we were lucky enough to pick this one! We were made very welcome by the staff and immediately offered a table in the bar area (we were offered a table in the restaurant later but the bar is full of character and we had become very comfortable in our seats). The menu was a great selection of fish as you would expect but also venison and vegetarian choices too. Our courses (we had 3) were all delicious and the service was time to perfection. Great place, great staff, and great food, oh and it was great value too! We will return.

One of my favourite restaurants in the world. Quality food with grand windows to see that wonderful Edinburgh Athens of the North Golden light. It’s been going a long time and I’m so pleased to be able to go back every once in a while.

Lovely relaxed place, perfect for some seafood. We had mussels, mushroom and truffle soup, seared seabass - everything was delicious! Some guests next to us had banging looking fish and chips as well. Overall highly recommend dropping by for lunch!

The Shore Bar and Restaurant
This is the second year in a row we've had my team's Christmas do here, and it was just as superb as our first visit. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional, the menu has a good variety and the dishes are made with care. The mussels I had to start were incredibly fresh with a tasty marinière sauce. The fish and chips (with mushy peas) was one of the best I've had, with a delicious beer batter. Good beer and wine selection. Nice atmosphere of what feels like a traditional yet elegant pub. Highly recommended. I'll very much make a return trip in the near future.

Had our work Christmas nightout here, food was exceptionally amazing, it was the festive menu and had amazing quality and presentation. The ambience was very warm and welcoming, definitely recommend it.

As an American who loves mussels… this was truly an incredible spot for them!! I just needed a light bite and I felt the portion size was very generous and super fresh. Great cozy vibes here in a beautiful area of town - highly recommend!

The Shore Bar and Restaurant. Restaurant or define are defined primarily by 3 things. Food, cleanliness, and Service. In my opinion, after having dined there on numerous occasion. They have delivered each and every time. The menu is well priced. The menu is balanced with wonderful selections.They put imphasis on presentation of the food. In fact you will probably find yourself looking at it to determine when, where and you want to start from.If you are a wine, whiskey, or scotch drinker, their selections will not disappoint. The staff are more than helpful. In fact they're quite delightful, and make it a fun experience.

A return visit. Really enjoy coming to this place. They squeezed us in after a very short wait, as we came on spec and there was a large booking. Very cosy and welcoming with a good menu. Quick service. Staff friendly and helpful.
