Ashford Mental Health Centre

Tried multiple times to get through to my care coordinator Greg and was ignored every time and never received a call back. Tried to get a medication review or some form of support after waiting 10 months and was told a diagnosis won't make me feel better so there's no point and they won't help me for at least another 6 months. Raised their voices and I had to hang up the phone as I could not communicate with them when they were being so rude and aggressive whilst I am in a fragile state. Now ignoring contact from my GP who is urging them to get me some support ASAP as she cannot prescribe the medication I need. Utterly negligent place should not be operating.

Iv not had any problems with them wot I do hate is that you have to wait ages to see them which doesn't help.

Not surprised they only have 2 stars. They don't care or listen to anyone unless you about to kill yourself. Good job guys, you're supposed to help people with mental health and not make them feel worse about it. What has this world come to when people are begging for help and you ignore them even though its your profession

What can I say ? Very unprofessional. No communication skills. Left me chasing them to find out what the plan of care was for my son. Then I ring nearly 2 weeks later after being promised a call to be told he has been discharged. Very bad practice. I would never treat a patient this way. I feel the only way my son would have stayed in their service is if he actually used the knife he had hidden in his room. Surely preventative measures put into place is what there should be to reduce the ever increasing suicide prevalence!!!

Still have no help from this service

My partner has serious mental health the doctor has taken him of a tablet which he is getting really bad side affects and was not given a replacement tablet I rang but got no where it’s disgusting there is no help for mental health

My daughter has serious Mental Health issues and was visited at her home by two M.H workers, after explaining her situation, we realised that one of them was fast asleep, she was then asked if she was okay by her colleague, she replied 'yes'. Two minutes later loud snoring was heard once more and she was again fast asleep. I find this absolutely disgusting, and am very disappointed with the system. The outcome of the visit was for them to say no help was possible and she is again on her own. If anything happens to her I will personally make it my mission to hold them entirely responsible.

This was my first visit here, although I was feeling incredibly anxious about my appointment the centre was very well presented inside and the reception staff were friendly and helpful.There is adequate parking available and there is a wheelchair accessible entrance and the interior is very well thought out.I am genuinely impressed with the caring attitude towards myself as a patient and I am hopeful that subsequent appointments go as well as the first.

I'm not sure why there are bad reviews on here. We've had a great service from the Elderly People team - the admin staff, visiting professionals and doctor were all caring, professional, knowledgeable, helpful and flexible.
