The UK Visa & Immigration department of the Home Office is racist, corrupt and cannot be trusted! My partner applied for a visa to visit the UK. The department made mistakes during the assessment of her supporting documents and refused to issue the visa. When we complained, the department refused to help us, by disregarding and ignoring all of our attempts to reach out to them. We were punished for mistakes which they made. The department discriminated against my partner because she is from a poorer third world country outside of Europe. Due to the assessors carelessness and failure to observe her documents properly, the department drew unjustified and discriminatory conclusions that she would not return to her home country, would overstay her visa and even claim benefits to support her stay in the UK.

I am completely disappointed in the way Home Office works. I applied in 2022 and waited until the last day of 6 months and they refused me for a very unreasonable reason about my husband's income not meeting the requirements. While my husband's income is more than that. I then requested an appeal and the court approved the appeal successfully and asked them to reconsider from January 2023 until now (7 months) has passed and I have not received any notice from them . So i'm waiting total near 2 years. An eerie silence on their part. I wonder what the government opened the interior ministry for? Are the interior ministry staff really doing their job well? How many families have been affected by your irresponsibility? Your irresponsibility and indifference have wasted the time, effort, money, and spirit of many people who wanted to reunite but you yourself prevented it. The life law of cause and effect spares no one! You will suffer the consequences for making people like us miserable, miserable and afraid every day about your damn visa.

I am reviewing my own experiences with the police-one area managed by this department.I have come across the occasional irate officer in my dealings with the police but most have conducted themselves calmly. However, they do appear to be lacking in some basic knowledge and training about their processes.I have been hindered by the admin team at the police station when trying to report an issue, there has been poor record keeping if any and at times, the police have decided a medical assessment is the best course of action in place of letting me report my issue properly and following it up. In order to follow all this up, I would have to go through a complaints procedure. Then a legal process if the complaints procedure isn't carried out correctly. But when the same pattern repeats across various public services as in my case, an individual cannot be expected to be forever raising complaints with several organisations at once and going through all the extra stress that comes with that. This is why I didn't complain to the police or try to report the ongoing and escalating issue again.

Absolutely rip off. Charge very expensive for poor, slow, delayed and unprofessional service. The online form is really inadequate with poorly stated references and guidelines.Helpline by phone is the most unhelpful people, very rude and ignorant.

Very unfriendly behaviour from University authority and UK Home Office. I wanted to change my current course into a new one. I was struggling with my course. But they told me to go to my home country and apply again into a new course and pay the tuition fees/Ihs fee/embassy fee again. To tell frankly, UK universities, Govt. and Home Office are not student friendly. All they want is money. Totally business minded. Whatever you want to do they will ask for ocean of money. Such a nightmare for me as an International student. If anyone is interested to study in UK I would just recommend from my experience to ignore this country for few years. They are just strengthening their business using international students.

Lazy employees on earth. They just raise new tickets everytime when we followup on old case. No escalation process and they conveniently keep tax payers hard earned money for years and if you somehow don’t follow up, it’s gone. They had not paid back our refund about two grand for more almost a year. We had to approach our local MP to get our own money back from them. They represent government and should be more empathetic and accountable

I applied for a visa for my mother in law to visit us, their refusal letter is a massive dissapointment.contradicting themselves, overlooking the evidence and supporting documents I submitted and they end the letter with you have no right to appeal or request a review"!extremely disapointing."

What do you want UK VISAS AND IMMIGRATION? You want students to feel helpless and die of depression?? You have any idea how much your delay causes a person to self harm? You call for another interview after paying a hefty amount for a priority visa and then you don’t come to attend it???!!! What is this?! You think people are stupid and have all the time in the world to beg in front of you to give the visa? I don’t understand, how hard is it to grant a student visa! You take money, take our patience, take our time, and then go in a ghost mode?! No way we can contact you, no way where we can I actually physically come and talk! You should be behind the bars for harming students mental health and playing with it. You should take responsibility for it.

Be aware that they will take your passport away and not give you any time frame on when you will get it back. They lied on the reason why my application experienced delays, they first blamed Covid, come on!! This is 2023, the pandemic is over!! And after I reached my local MP it was finally an IT issue that lasted months and months… They do not care about people and will treat you like you are totally stupid. I applied for a family visa 5 months ago and still waiting to get my passport back. I feel like a prisoner and not being able to go back to my home country if something happens to a family member is just unbearable. They shouldn’t be allowed to take your passport at all, I never saw a « procedure » like this before, this is against the human rights!
