Based between the Victorian market and the marina red shank is a good place to come for fresh local seafood! Had the opportunity to try the selection in the newly upgraded Victorian market in Inverness city centre and it did not disappoint! Just fantastic and reasonable considering the quality. Lovely environment for those colder wet days and loads of space!

OMG! The tastiest food I have eaten… seriously! So flavoursome, fresh and tasty. I wish I lived up here, to have more. Easy to park the camper van too.

When I saw where my husband took me for dinner ... Will keep it for myself what I was thinking. I couldn't be more wrong. The food was amazing , and speciali soup traditional Scottish fish soup cullen skink absolutely amazing.

Undoubtedly a culinary gem in Inverness, this food truck surpassed my expectations. The fish and chips, a UK classic, were elevated to a heavenly level with chips that were far from bland and nicely battered fresh fish. The battered fish wrap and Halloumi burger also impressed, showcasing the truck's culinary prowess.A special mention to Kevin and Chris for their exceptional service and insightful recommendations. For anyone exploring Inverness and its surroundings, a visit here is an absolute must.

I'm not much a fan of fish and chips, but this food stand changes it all. I've tried this one as it got some outstanding reviews.The size of the fish is massive. Freshness is everything! crispy and light batter but soft and juicy fish inside. The chips are fine. Since it's a food stand, you might be bothered by the occasional rain.

Red Shank certainly sets a high bar for all other casual, fresh, straight up seafood. While the fish and chips were very good, the sea scallops and black pudding was outstanding with a lightly dressed salad. This is why I cannot get good a proper fish and chips in the States.

Fishtastic! i am not just saying this, but this is the best chippy I have ever had. i don't think any other chippy comes close. We got 2 fish and chips. You have to wait while it is made. The chips are light and taste superb. I am not usually one for liking fish, but the fish is huge, light, flaky, tastes is fresh and succulent. The batter is light and crispy. There is a seating area for you to sit and wait or you can eat your meal. highly recommended. honesty, it's that good!
