Less than a year before our wedding, we contacted Tala at UCG Luxury Destination Events to be our wedding planner. Tala herself came highly recommended through friends and word of mouth, and from the moment we met, I could see this was by far the best decision we could make.My husband and I live in London but our families are in different parts of the world. To quickly organise a personal, beautiful, heartfelt, fun wedding for 130 guests coming from all corners of the globe was daunting to us, but a piece of cake for UCG! Tala got to work immediately by getting to know us personally and then asking us the right questions in order to shortlist and organise viewings of venues in the city as well as in the nearby countryside that would fit within our wants, needs, budget, and overall vibe of what we wanted for our wedding. We hired Tala and UCG Luxury Events in November 2011 to organise our wedding for 140 people which took place next to the Bosphorous at Les Ottomans Hotel in Istanbul in August 2012After getting engaged in Istanbul, we quickly decided that Istanbul would also be the location for our wedding. We are both busy full-time professionals living in London with limited knowledge of Istanbul and so we also quickly decided that we needed the assistance of a wedding planner.After a brief search on Google we stumbled across the UCG Luxury Events Homepage. We liked UCG's exclusive focus on Istanbul weddings and so we arranged an introductory meeting with Tala.From the very first contact, UCG and Tala made a positive impression. Our emails and phone calls were answered in a prompt and professional manner and we liked the fact that Tala had a fresher approach and a more international background than other Istanbul wedding planners. We felt Tala's 'western' outlook and past professional experience meant she immediately had a much better understanding of the type of wedding we wanted, and importantly she gave us the confidence that she could organise it without any dramas or unnecessary stress.After our initial meeting, it was an easy decision to hire UCG and at no point during the 10-month planning process did we regret the decision. Our guests flew in from all around the world and we know many people had high expectations. It was an absolute pleasure working with UCG Luxury Destination Events! We had our wedding in Bodrum in 2016, where Tala really turned our dreams into reality. She really “gets it!” All our friends were super happy that everything was so organized from the minute they started planning the trip until getting on the flight home. Tala planned the most incredible wedding for my husband and I in Bodrum, Turkey. We were based in Miami while planning the wedding, and she helped us with everything from sourcing local vendors, negotiating contracts, planning additional events and dinners for our guests, and of course with the full deign and feel of the weekend. Tala was super responsive and made me feel so comfortable and confident going into it, and the whole weekend went perfectly.

My fiancé and I are based in London and we wanted to have our wedding in Rome. I was looking for a London-based planner and found out about Tala from a friend. In the initial meeting, I could see myself working with Tala, due to her attention to detail and depth of experience in destination weddings. My fiancé and I can be quite demanding and told Tala this but she was more than happy to take us on. I interviewed 5 other people and Tala really stood out so we hired her in January 2017 for our wedding in September 2017.Our celebrations had 4 parts, a registry event in London and three events in Rome; Tala managed them all. Throughout the eight months we worked with each other, she always made herself available for last minute calls or meetings to ensure any questions we had were answered. Some Italian wedding suppliers proved to be difficult, our original florist cancelled and so did our original guest transfers provider but Tala managed to find suitable replacements quickly – she is great at crisis management.Tala gave us many ideas about how to make our day more special and how to ensure our guests had a great time. There were two completely different cultures being celebrated on our wedding day and Tala helped us to seamlessly and beautifully bring the two together. Our guests had very high expectations but they all told us everything was so beautiful, on time and well organised, and this really reflects Tala's hard work.One of the best qualities of Tala and her team was their effort in understanding us as a couple and what we wanted; they really delivered on the fun English/Persian weekend we wanted.The highest praise we can give Tala is the fact that we both relaxed and had the most fun in our life during the wedding because we trusted Tala's capabilities to take care of anything.Thank you Tala and the UCG team for all your hard work in every stage of our wedding planning.
