We were walking round Fowey for about an trying to find somewhere to eat as some places didn't look child friendly and with a one and half year old that's important. We found Sam's and I couldn't of been happier.First off, our server Oliver, was the best service I have ever had in a restaurant. We normally go out twice a week locally to us, we have been to three one Michelin star restaurants and Olivers service was better. Normally with a child you are worried about getting looks from servers, not with Oliver, he saw us struggling and brought over colours. Being young parents we have always felt uncomfortable, but not here and I think that was mostly due to Oliver.Now the food, the food was absolutely amazing. It didn't take to long, and even if it took ten hours it would be would be worth the wait. As you can see from the photos it was delicious.I just want to thank Sam's for making our day.

Wow what a fantastic place the food was heaven and Edd made us feel so welcome and was kind to our dog the food was the best valve for money and I would have paid more it was exceptional thank you , we loved it so much we then went to sam’s on the beach and that was just as awesome

A wonderful venue in the heart of the village if Fowey located in a historic 13th Century Building. An eclectic mix of welcoming restaurant, cocktail bar and pub lounge.Sam's presents an excellent range of food from delicious burgers, locally landed fish and mussels from the nearby bay, with lobsters and scallops from local fishermen are all part of the menu which is locally sourced to create simple, tasty dishes.We enjoyed the mussels, king prawn scampi and fish & chips as a late lunch all served by friendly and welcoming staff.Sam's is open from lunchtime everyday until late and is a great place to start - or end - your evening.Very enjoyable, excellent food, great staff and eclectic decor. Highly recommended.#supportlocal

Wow, took my wife for a birthday lunch.They allowed us in with our two small dogs.Staff so helpful and pleasant. Loved the music memorabilia on display.We shared the sea food platter. Excellent quality and more than we could eat.Thanks to everyone there for a wonderful lunch.

Ate here 2/7/23 and can honestly say it was the worst fish meal I have ever eaten.and I have eaten in many countries. We had one of the daily specials.Plaice . Well thr only way I can describe it is wallpaper paste on the bone.tastless mush.veg was not fresh either.We complained to the manager who said that's how it comes on the bone Whole! Well I'm not questioning how it comes it should not be overcooked mush with bones in every mouthful. It should fall off the bone. Management wernt bothered atall so we just paid the bill and left. We paid £69.70 even though the first bill we were shown was £67.says it all really.Its sad Really as my girlfriend is a chef and said she would never send this to the table.she was disgusted. I think the owner was more interested in taking photos of the staff in front of the shop with their new t shirts.completely ruined our time in fowey.After we left (still starving as could not eat their meal) we went and found another fish restaurant called SPINGTIDE in Charlestown PL25 3NJ Amazing food great staff and excellent food.cod hips and mushy peas, 2 beers for £45.80 .so the night cost us £114 for a meal out. Great place! Worth a visit but make sure you book in advance for dinner. It is very popular and gets busy. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Plenty of food to choose from and the desserts were absolutely delicious. Good portion of food and fair prices. Oh and the background music was very enjoyable!

The owner and staff were very helpful, I was treated well. The atmosphere was very pleasant when you consider the energy of the people and the place. I got the Seafood Feast" and it was the best seafood I've had in several years. I would recommend this place especially to those who crave for seafood. Thanks to Leo from Westerly for recommendation!"

Without a shadow of a doubt, the very best food & service I've ever had in my life!Honestly, this place is unreal. The surf & turf is 10/10 and the beef short-rib 11/10.The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and made us a table even though they were fully booked. So glad and thankful they did, the whole experience was legendary. Thank you!!!
