TMS The Makeup School Brighton

I always had a dream of starting my own business as a makeup artist, but to kick start me, I really wanted to complete a makeup course first. There are so many courses out there, and hard to find one that suited me.After a lot of research, and many lovely emails and phone calls with Jacqui, I settled on TMS.TMS is based in Brighton, which suited me perfectly, although I was prepared to travel to London. The classes were small and intimate, and very hands on. From day one, it was obvious that Jacqui has perfected her skills with a lifetime in the industry. Her teaching skills are easy to follow, fun and intuitive. I was surprised how quickly I learnt to complete a whole new look, and have mastered the Smokey eye. One of my all time challenges when left to my own devices. I cannot praise TMS and Jacqui enough, I want to do more to keep learning the tricks of the trade!

Jacqui the instructor is very kind and professional. She was patient throughout the course and very motivating as well. The course itself is very informative and hands on. The studio is also perfect for makeup looks with adequate lighting and space. Jacqui also provided us with various kinds of creams and powders to work with, we just had to show up and everything was well equipped and ready for us to use. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn techniques and tips before starting their professional career as a makeup artist.

Jacqui was brilliant in updating my make up look and gave me confidence to try new products after being stuck in a rut on my beauty regime! She is very friendly and it was a great afternoon with lots of laughs and I came away feeling fantastic. Book her for a one to one! I can’t wait to go back to master the Smokey eye

After searching through numerous courses, I found Jacqui’s makeup school and couldn’t be happier with my choice to book. It was a very informative week and I left feeling like I had learned so much about starting a career in makeup. Jacqui teaches technique and gives helpful insight and advice based on her years of experience in the industry that have allowed me to feel that - with some practice to perfect what I learned - I would be equipped start my own career in the industry. Jacqui was a lovely teacher, giving reassurance and support throughout, and the limited number of places for students also allowed me to feel like I was really able to get the help I needed to improve. I travelled each day to and from London in order to make the course more affordable for me, something I would definitely recommend. The journey was very easy with the studio being only a 7 minute walk from the station.
