Ray is a lovely, kind and extremely knowledgeable tutor. He has decades of experience and worked with me to create tailored trousers from scratch. I had no knowledge of pattern construction or sewing before, and he was really patient and guided me through the processes meticulously! I have learnt a lot really rapidly thanks to ray.

I have been on many sewing classes, however Ray is by far the best tutor I have had so far.He is very clear and professional, a great communicator, looking forward to the rest of the course.

This is a great workshop. The teacher is very knowledgeable as he's been in the industry for many years. Take your own pace and learn so much. Very much recommended

I booked on the beginner course, as I hadn't done any sewing for years and needed a confidence boost.Ray is a great teacher, he has years of experience in the trade and is now passing this on. Classes are small, which is great everyone gets a bit of one to one coaching.I have now booked to do the dressmaking course as I just love his teaching style and the confidence he has given me

Thread The Needle Workshop
I'm a true beginner, never sewed, apart from a couple attempts in school many moons ago. Our tutor Ray is a fantastic teacher, very calm, you can see, hear the professionalism in the way he teaches you. I started off in knowing nothing in September, to being the proud owner of a skirt which I made with the help of Ray in November. I still attend classes, I highly recommend his classes.
