Great service from Euston through to Glasgow Central. Boarding time allows for an evening meal before boarding and arrival into Glasgow to be in the office nice and early!Boarding at Euston was easy and the hosts were excellent at explaining the process and answering any questions as this was my first time on a sleeper. Club sleeper room was compact but well equipped with fresh bedding and towels provided.Dining car had a good selection on offer and service was very efficient with super friendly and helpful staff on board.Breakfast in the morning tasty and well presented. Ordering the night before meant it was ready as soon as you sat down making it super efficient.Would definitely recommend!

I just got the standard seat ticket for my 12 hour journey. train was pretty quiet so could easily spread out on two seats. staff have been so lovely, not sure how they've stayed so fresh and awake lol. seats are comfy, they supply everyone with a sleeping mask and earplugs. the menu sounds so good, and looks like a lot of options but you can only order certain things at certain times? that's a bit annoying so i'd say come prepared with your own stuff for a long journey. would defo book with this company again!

Travelled as a family of 4 from Euston to Inverness, train was on time. Booked two bunk cabins, these allow access to the Club Car. Had a couple of drinks and dinner before turning in. Food was lovely, Balmoral Chicken. Whilst the rooms are small the beds are comfortable, had a decent sleep. The journey finished off with a full Scottish breakfast. The onboard service was excellent. Had always wanted to do this journey. One ticked off the bucket list.

An interesting yet incredibly uncomfortable experience that I wouldn’t do again. The Caledonian Sleeper train will take you overnight from London to various locations in Scotland. You save a hotel room night and wake up with a full day in Scotland… great, right? Well reality is a bit different unless you are a *really* sound sleeper that can sleep anywhere. We splurged for the Caledonian Double - the nicest room category on the train. We get notice earlier in the day before we board that we won’t have hot water in our room. We got some of the fare back but no showers for us. The room is INCREDIBLY small. Smaller than you think it will be. If you have large luggage and two people you will be in trouble. The bed is ROCK HARD. Basically thin foam over a hard base, mix all of that with the train moving a lot and being very loud, we were lucky to get a few hours of sleep. Food was serviceable but the service was pretty non-existent. They are trying to brand themselves as a luxury experience but really failing pretty miserably.

The Caledonian Sleeper is not the most spacious of long distance trains but the service it delivers is an excellent one. It is an easy way to get to and from the Scottish Highlands, stopping at Aberdeen, Fort William and Inverness. There are beds, meals and drinks but don’t book thinking you will get luxury accomodation or wifi that will allow you to do work the way some other trains do. I wasnt able to work the way as i’d planned but the journey was amazing, especially after sunrise the next morning. The staff is wonderful, especially Jomo and Adam.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience taken for short break to Inverness. Ensuite compartment well equipped & comfortable with a good night's sleep. Club car offers a wide range of food & drink although a little on the pricey side. Staff attentive & clearly proud of the service they offer. Recommended.

The porter who serviced our coach was very kind and helpful, but unfortunately, our AAA travel agent failed to tell us there were better sleeping options available on the train other than bunk beds, along with a public toilet. Great adventure for kids maybe! It reminded me of being on a long flight with constant air turbulence, making sleep unusual. Next time I would select the coach, or maybe the double bed with a bathroom.

Embarking on the Caledonian Sleeper journey from London to Inverness was a delightful experience. Opting for the last coach and the final chamber was a smart move, ensuring a serene atmosphere and avoiding corridor commotion. The compact room ingeniously accommodated luggage beneath the bed. A restful sleep was guaranteed, and the availability of a private toilet and hot shower added a touch of luxury. The morning greeted us with a fantastic breakfast at the onboard restaurant. The conductor's friendliness enhanced the journey, making us feel truly welcome. Despite cozy quarters, the Caledonian Sleeper delivers a comfortable and enjoyable overnight adventure, creating lasting memories along the scenic route.

This was my first time on a sleeper train and my partners was her 3rd time using, but the other two times she rode in a seat between Euston and Inverness and said she always enjoyed her experiences riding this train. My partner is well travelled and has rode trains all over the world. I guess you learn to appreciate the finer things when you’ve rode in a 13 hour train that has a door with a hole in the floor to use for a bathroom. Yes it is small as it is a train, it’s not a ferry or a hotel room. I am a big girl. The halls were narrow but you can walk in them. I had to take it slow and even my skinny partner with our medium Ospreys had to walk slow in the hallway. They were fully packed and we had a third medium sized bag that we bought while in Taiwan to fill with presents from there and Japan. You can see that our three bags fit nicely under the bed and our shoes we stored under the sink area. There were like 8 hooks to hang things in the cabin as well as two in the shower. We did not use the shower as we decided to shower in the club lounge at Euston beforehand given that the prior reviews stated that the water on board was luke warm and it’s practically winter in Scotland. We were sent a text message that we would have no water in our room but we would be getting a refund. We thought well that’s disappointing but we already planned to shower before so it was what it was. Of course not ideal but I had inquired with the staff member about the bottles of water the text message said we would receive given the lack of water and she moved us to a different room where the water worked and I did not even have to ask. They had free snacks and well stocked on drinks, hot and cold all free. They also had a menu and food there but I’m not sure what all this fuss is about food on board as I found their hummus, beet, asparagus salad quite tastey once you added a pinch of salt and pepper. The Whisky selection was decent although pricey and they had more of a selection on the actual train. They also have specials for the dinner service that are not on the menu so be sure to ask. The organic teas and treats were very affordable and a quality selection. We travelled Euston to Inverness as we live here and I honestly hate flying. After 3 flights, 1-4hr, 1-14.5hr, and the 1hr from Frankfurt to London, I was excited to be on a train. The bed was extremely comfortable and I’m a light sleeper who hates earplugs so I just chased a sleeping pill with a nice cider and followed it up with a lovely organic chamomile tea. The bed was super comfortable and there are numerous plugs as well as usb ports. You can also control the temp and several lights in the room. We were given a complimentary sleep pack and some mackies chocolates. I honestly do not understand some of these reviews. The staff was very nice, the room was super comfortable and clean. It is small but it is functional for the twin beds. If you have bigger luggage then maybe the double room would work better for your luggage underneath a bigger bed. However, I was told you can check your luggage if need be but all ours fit no problem. We really enjoyed it, were well rested upon arrival, and plan to use the service to travel between Inverness and London in the future.

Almost impossible to sleep due to shunting bumps and door hussle alarms at stations. Beds comfortable and chargers are great. Rooms are very small indeed though. Any large luggage and you have a problem. Door handles on rooms stick out into a narrow corridor, so you will end up bruised if you try to walk down multiple carriages to the lounge car. Breakfast low quality and forgettable. But it’s a great way to travel to get to Scotland quickly and travel overnight to maximise your touring time.
