Good days fishing. Plenty of roach. My son had a harder day. Although he bagged a lovely 7lb mirror carp on last cast of the day. A hard venue but in pleasant surroundings.

Never answer the phone to book and when you try to leave a message, like they suggest on their website, the answer phone is full. Very frustrating been trying to book and called every day for the past 3 months

First time fishing at lake side today. Very good days fishing plenty coming out. Will be returning in the near future. Very impressed with the lake, plenty and good quality fish, did not want to leave but time beat me. The walk from the car park is not as bad as I thought. The only down side for me was the lad cutting the grass all around me spoilt the nice peace and quiet, and made a lot mess in the lake with the strummer with grass cuttings. But never ruined my day.

Edited, always have a great day here. Its a challenge catching double figures as it really is stocked full of fish with no predators, so loads of small fish and being so many they battle for food. It's a shame you can't take inexperienced people here because it is an ideal lake to teach your kids. I've had to edit this now. This amazing place is now empty, not a fish in site its such a shame.

Lakeside Fishery
Only discovered Lakeside a month ago. It is in a lovely quiet rural setting and is an idyllic spot. My fishing companion Jim and I have caught some fantastic fish in great condition on the two occasions we have fished it. Seeing kingfishers flash past and a near-by heron fishing patiently from a fishing platform was a bonus. We will certainly be returning, Steve and Tina the owners, are very friendly and helpful.

Lovely place to go nice people own this fishery but thier not much coming out . Loads of little roaches 2 yr on the row . I miss how this used to be .

Best venue in the county!Never know what's next, little stocky or 20/30lb mirror.Never been here and had less than 30 carp in a day!Owners really helpful as well.Very well maintained and not a far walk between carpark and first swim!Keep up the good work guys best venue around by far!

Hadn’t been in a couple of years when catching a carp was every cast …. Not so anymore been twice now in last few months and it’s nothing like before bagged up on little silver’s but no carp showing a interest only seen a hand full swimming about. I won’t be going back anytime soon. Lovely place to sit and chill but not so for carp fishing.
