Very stressed right now! I had an appointment this morning but had forgotten the time, I called at 8:30, was in a que, at 8:40 I was number 1 in the que, at 8:55 I was still 1 so hung up and called back, finally got through at 9:15 to be told I'd missed my appointment with Dr Senior and now I cant get another one till 01st feb! I was very clearly distressed on the phone but the person on the other end was not calming in any way, do your staff not have mental health training! I'm now sat in the surgery not knowing what to do! I know I should have remembered but your not helping........

I'm posting this on behalf of my partner, as she is bedbound with multiple mobility issues etc. This is about the very poor service given by the prescribing team. I put in a huge list of meds once a month via re order forms. Most months it has items missing, sometimes I phone and ask them to forward the prescriptions, sometimes I don't, it's very frustrating. However, on the 2nd may, I ordered extra items which we needed fairly quickly, went to the pharmacy at Exwick a few days later, they hadn't had them yet. The following Tues (after bank holiday) phoned st Thomas prescribing, only to be put through to the answerphone, left a message with details, phone number etc, no response, did the same next day, exactly the same outcome, and again for a 3rd day, still no response. So, phoned a different dept and was put through to prescribing on (I'd guess) the internal system. I explained the problem and lack of response to be told we're too busy to answer it"In the mean time

Friendly reception area with wonderful staff and doctors and nurses. On site physiotherapist who is great. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else

This place is awful, so unbelievably unprofessional for any line of business, let alone a doctors surgery.Regularly incompetent, messing up prescriptions, and forgetting to process referrals. And the patient support over the phone keeps getting worse with staff often being clueless about procedure, arguing between themselves, endlessly passing you back and forth. It's as though they want to make it harder and harder for their patients to receive the care they need, making the support less and less user friendly as the years move on and continually adding more barriers between receiving the care you need.And this is just the tip of the iceberg, it would have taken me an hour to go into detail about the many issues I've been subjected to here over the years.I don't have the luxury, but if you do, choose a different doctors surgery.

Very very unhelpful. doctors accept only on the phone for a given hour and so they call at what time they want stressing everyone and then they send messages that you do not answer. when calling she (pretended that they did not he says i can't hear and i'm screaming like hear a bad signal or they s he says i can't hear and i'm screaming like - one contradicts the other. terrible people work there aid that they were shouted at, which is already a lie and very disrespectful. I do not know why this clinic exists because it would certainly not help people and we pay taxes for such people.

Very unprofessional service, I would give 0 stars if I could. I had blood test done few weeks ago and result wasn't good. Because I couldn't get a follow up appointment face to face with GP I had to book a phone call. 3.06.2023 Dr Foreman, 16.06.2023 Dr Esan. Both doctors didn't call. I was waiting couple of hours for nothing, as I was completely ignored! No explanation, no apology...

Can I ask why GPs aren't back in the surgery, please? My father-in-law is deaf and is being told he can only get a phone call appt.* 3 months later and they haven't replied to this question. Yet answered other reviews.12/10/2023 - Waited in a call queue for 35 mins at lunchtime before we gave up and ended call. Rang back and finally got reception on the phone at 4.15pm to be told the earliest appt is a phone appt on 2nd November. Shockingly poor.

Appointments aren't particularly easy to come by also when you do get one you need to check they actually book it on the right month.
